We Can't Fix the World, So Now What?

Nope. Far simpler than that.

If every person were more concerned about being 'good' himself, nobody would have to worry about whether anybody else is.
It works for collective consciousness improvement through collective unconscious .

Just about everyone of us can see that this world is full of problem, so much so that some of us think humanity may be at the brink of extinction. We all have our personal catalog of the various problems we believe the world faces, my own personal list of troubles includes: War, famine, poverty, greed, homelessness, sexism, racism, capitalism, YouTube unboxing channels and the Kardashians.

Extintion of Mankind is not in the hands of Mankind. It is my belief that divine beings are the owners. We don't own the World where we live. Otherwise major disasters would have happened already; a nuclear war (if nukes aren't a hoax), a virus, a global blackout, a big asteroid, an invasion of alien pirates, etc. you name it.

Now about capitalism. Did you realize there is currently no pure, laissez faire capitalism anywhere? Otherwise NGOs would be in charge of the poor and the rest would be selling our products and services without the intervention of the evil elite that runs the World (not talking about gods here). No taxes; just people making commercial exchanges. Anybody could start a business without the obstacles and rules the big boys have put. Imagine that, and "capitalism" suddenly doesn't sound so bad, right?

In Socialist countries the government chiefs tend to hoard all the riches for themselves and leave most people in poverty. Or at least charge too much taxes for the benefits they give in exchange (e.g. Scandinavia).

"greed". how much greed is bad for you?

"YouTube unboxing channels" are useful, since they give us a description of products before we decide to buy them.

"sexism" and "racism" are based on the way of thinking "someone has to do the worse jobs". It may end once most jobs are replaced by robots.

Kardawhat?

It is in my opinion that the world would be a much better and much friendlier place in we could only solve all these problem. So my mind cooks up plans on how we should deal with these problems, like this guy did:

Thanos would only delay the inevitable. People would have kids like rabbits again and everything would eventually return to our despicable normality. Bad idea.

But is it truly my responsibility to fix all the world's problems? Why in the world do we take it upon ourselves to think that if only we did something, we could fix it?

1. Because we want to find some sense in being on this World. Some mission; some task. Just solving the problems of our own lives sounds petty. Most of us have been educated so that is not enough to solve our own problems. It's really slave thinking: "If you're no good to Society, you're not good enough." Truth is, Society maybe doesn't even care about what you can do for it in the first place.

2. We see this World is unnecessarily difficult for most people, so we naturally want to change it. The way of thinking of inventors. I see nothing wrong with putting your grain of sand for that purpose.

Or 3. A feeling of helplessness and a complex of inferiority. You want to be great, because you feel small. But is it for Mankind or for yourself? Naturally it's for yourself, just to feel better.

And it looks like the best laid plans of mice and men come to naught once again.

I'll give you an example. Suppose you're powerful enough to kill half of the politicians, for the other half to become scared and behave well. The good you did would last only for a while! Until you, the menace, would retire from the game. Then the surviving politicians would get back to corruption and hire more evil friends.

If you don't change people's heads, you can't change their lives in a permanent way. External solutions would only bring a necessary, but temporary relief.

Whatever plan you execute to change the World permanently, will fail if you don't succed in educating people in the need of improving their minds. Even then, many people wouldn't trust you as a master/teacher. Especially if you already killed half of their beloved corrupt politicians.

So now what do we do? Is there anything we can fix? I can assure you there is somethings can do, particularly we should firstly follow Socrates dictum "Know thyself" and believe one the reason we love to look at the world's problems and center ourselves on fixing them instead of examining our own lives and fixing what is going on inside of us as individuals is because the darkness outside of us seems more easy to deal with, because we have all these messiahs, politicians and others saying they have solution and we are in great company with the other legion of followers.

Oh man, darkness doesn't necessarily mean evil! If you've ever been dazzled, you know darkness is good sometimes. And most people concentrate on the external problems, because most don't know the outside has to do with the inside.

acknowledge that we are all evil, all egotistical and we are all disgusting.

Well what's wrong with being evil, egotistical and disgusting?

You know, it's not bad to be egotistical. And you can only be egotistical; in the end everything we do is for ourselves. But there's a smart way of being an egoist:
  • The stupid way is rejecting your neighbor, because he asked for sugar and you didn't want to share.

  • The smart way is giving him some sugar and establishing a friendly relationship that will be profitable for you in the near future. "You scratch my back and I scratch yours".
Evil. With whom? Would you want to be good with someone that wants to mug you? Why not using your evil side for your own benefit?

Disgusting. Why not being disgusting with the bad guys? Heck, even the good guys need to learn the hard way sometimes.

Remember yin and yang? Is your shadow side really bad?

Is the shadow side of the World really bad? Anyway, you just can do what you feel must be done. So stop doubting and do it! In the end you may have put your grain of salt for a better World. Or you may have learned a tough lesson. Eitherway it will be worthwhile.

Come on, now go destroy those rascals of the IMF and the World Bank.

Another good sign is people are abandoning superstitious beliefs and using science to weed out false interpretations of religion.

Science is not unfailing and totally trustable; Mainstream Science is financed by big governments and multinational corporations. Science won't tell you the truths that aren't convenient for their sponsors.

But that doesn’t mean humanity might not be in need of one final push such as another world war to make us break entirely with the past and establish a world community and world civilisation and not allow nationalism to dominate the international scenario any longer as it is so divisive.

Let me guess... you'd like someone to implement a fake alien invasion, project Bluebeam, so all nations unite against the supposed enemy, the Third World War comes and the story ends with the New World Order? No thanks.

Why do you say that? Because I talked about making the Thanos snap to politicians?

So, it seems to be this wanting to fxi the world is a temptation, a desire that leads us into sin and suffering. We desire control, we desire people conform to our beliefs and we desire that it all goes our way. And soon it is our way or the highway and the boots start marching a long as they are been doing throughout history. And it looks like the best laid plans of mice and men come to naught once again.

So now what do we do? Is there anything we can fix? But to "know thyself" is to go on a lonely journey into the dark recesses of the self and lay our eyes bare on our own human nature and acknowledge that we are all evil, all egotistical and we are all disgusting. It is a frightening journey.
You can't fix it, I can't fix it. But it will be: read Revelation 11:18, last part.

Take care.

There are always going to be detractors and while you may think or believe you have this wonderful plan to save the world if only people would listen there are people who are going to feel and believe that every solution you put forward from Laissez faire to Thanos snapping a mugger is not going to cut it with them, they'll look at your beliefs about what you think we should do and feel that it just doesn't suit them or meet their needs. Some are going to view you as not only wrong but also crazy or maybe even evil

@The Reverend Bob I’m trusting that there’s a part of each person that wants to help improve the world for all people everywhere, and I’m saying this to that part of each person. I see many things happening in the world that are helping to improve the lives of all people everywhere, and I see many ways that anyone can help who wants to, no matter how limited they are in time, capacities, resources and circumstances. It isn’t that hard to find out about them. Just stay away as far as possible from all campaigns of denunciation on all sides, which I think only make things worse for everyone without really doing anyone any good.

You think sociopaths or psychopaths have any actual desire to do any to improve the world for all people everywhere. 1 in a 100 people are either malignant narcissists/psychopathic or sociopathic, that is 1 in a 100. That is a fairly sizable portion of the population and they work overtime to make things worse. So this whole idea that there is good, light and love in everyone is very, very flawed.

I agree there are people who are working hard to improve the lives of others, but there is only so much they can do and some of them burn out and get overwhelmed at the amount of need that is out there and cannot stand up to the opposition that is out there, like the forces of greed, prejudice and hypocrisy. Talk to some homeless advocates, they'll tell you the truth about every NIMBY they have had to face in order to get service to the homeless.

I’d like nothing more than for people to reconcile their differences and establish world peace. That’s my dearest hope and wish.
