Accepting the accumulated scientific knowledge of mankind is not faith-based. It is rational.
Perhaps you still believe in a flat earth.
Even when they're wrong?
Cain was kicked out of Adama to Eretz East of Eden where he got married.Maybe Adam wasn't the first man.
You'd have to read for yourself to really understand.I agree with you. Can you please tell me what the Quran says about it.
Deflection...As I said, Perhaps you still believe in a flat earth.
Clearly you have a lot more free time than me.. Thanksok what? You have no thoughts on the matter, or are just being dismissive of my thoughts because you don't agree for some unstated reason? One can believe in God, while not having to believe nonsense scriptural interpretations as a prerequisite to faith. Thank God that's true, otherwise there'd be a lot more atheists about.
And apparently a lot more integrity.Clearly you have a lot more free time than me.. Thanks
It seems to be a popular trend that people who believe in God do not believe in evolution. And people who believe in evolution do not believe in God.
Obviously, there's exceptions because I am one. I believe in God and evolution. As a Muslim who believes the Quran to be true there are several scripture to support this.
It also says we come from the clay of the Earth just as Christians and Jews believe.
So if science proves we are made up of stardust and God says the same thing why do so many think otherwise?
Everything science has discovered about existence dating back to the big bang is also verifiable in the Quran.
I'm not trying to revert everyone to Islam here.. Just want to know if you believe in one and not the other then just your reason behind it.
What "force-fit"?
Most accept it from two sentences and then never question it.Apologize to @viole for answering what was meant for her.
I don't think how you characterize it is really the case. On the subject of evolution, I have read mountains and mountains of work, and followed the trail of links and citations, so that I feel I really understand it quite well. And that understanding has nothing to do with "faith," but rather with acceptance of a truth merely on the weight of the evidence for it, and the lack of evidence against it.
We are more specific using the system of classification in common use as to where evolution stops, but type is acceptable. As to the terminology, I was informed by more than one evolutionist that micro and macro are no longer used, and weren´t used much in the 1920´s right after they were coined. That is not the scientific view of micro-evolution. Micro-evolution would be just evolution on a small scale. Among Creationists it is evolution only within similar kinds.
A chart on the wall is not the science of evolution, which has been falsified beyond any reasonable doubt, and continues to increase the evidence all the time. Fundamentalist Creationists have not presented a viable alternative based on science.
And apparently a lot more integrity.
I assure you there are a lot more Christians, Muslims, and Jews who do not believe in evolution than do...Actually the vast majority of those who believe in a god also accept that evolution is real. Catholics are the largest of the Christian sects and they accept evolution. It's only a small minority of young Earth creationists who have an issue with evolution.

No matter, we use the term micro evolution properly. it is small scale evolution that science readily supports, small as within a ¨ type¨. Not withing the entire breadth of living things.
The alternative is way beyond science, and is something science can never explain.
So, science hypothesizes what is so, and we show the flaws in the hypotheses as far as macro evolution is concerned.

In Scripture I find Adam was the first man - Genesis 2:7,19.Maybe Adam wasn't the first man.
What basis do you believe this? Every year or so, Gallup does a poll on the beliefs of people, and a majority of people believe in God AND evolution.Negative.
Is a man the result of evolution from a primate ? They have much in common, but they have many differences as well.So a poodle can come from a wolf but a man cant come from a monkey... yeah thats way different.. smh
To whom? His sister?Cain was kicked out of Adama to Eretz East of Eden where he got married.
