Because that's easier than directing their ire at government directly.

It's a pretty sorry way of accomplishing their goal.

    But they're angry.
Doesn't that justify violence towards random people & stores?

Apparently. I guess in their minds, it does wonders for their cause.

Wall street is partying like it's 2007. Whatever is left of the medium class is going to be cleaning up a lot more in the near future.

Moi je ne mens pas...j'ai pleuré beaucoup pour la mort de ceux qui ont perdu la vie tandis qu'ils combattaient pour la France.

But is it the real yellow vesters who are doing the damage, or ordinary hooligans and black bloc anarchists? Demonstrations always seem to attract a certain anti-social, anarchic element, unrelated to the actual issues in contention.

Yes. Occupy Wall Street attracted the same unprincipled riff-raff and Black Bloc vandals. They're a problem at any demonstration, and provide fertile ground for criticism by the opposition.

It is highly questionable whether the yellow vests are "doing something".

At least, anything constructive. Anyone can be a pain. That does not help anything.

Well, "doing something" is a matter of fact. Your assessment of what they are doing is a matter of your personal perspective.

Sorry, just trying to lighten things up a bit. Blood is kind of heavy, but if you need to speak with it, I'll butt out.

I betcha there's no unified agenda, some people like to join stuff just to scream and yell!

But apparently some have "sacked and burned stores and restaurants".

Police, get out the rubber bullets!! Vee needs her life back!

Sounds like a bunch of crocodile tears and 1st world problems. The yellow vests are doing something actually important. They're rejecting the bureaucracy and immigration from France and the EU. Its about time somebody complained. The bureaucracy gets more ridiculous all the time. With the latest article 13 disaster, you should join them. I'm GLAD that the yellow vests are opening people's eyes to the substantial problems in Europe.

Give it a rest. Nations are always in turmoil. During WW1 and WW2 your bible thumping counterparts were screaming the END IS NIGHT.

The fact of the matter is that modern day nations have way less turmoil than almost any point in history. I mean the bible says generic things like "There will be plagues, and famines, and wars!!!!!!"

Really unspecific things that have always occurred many times throughout history.
