How can Trump get away with comments like this?

Trump called himself " stable genius. Why is he not showing this as president? Often when one listens to him, he just rambling about things, without any coherent meaning
Yep, and anyone who has to label themselves as being a "stable genius" is likely neither.

What? Me worry?
Choosing to speak in certain ways is an action, has effects and consequences. 'The pen is mightier than the sword' isn't a euphamism for nothing. And Trump has added to if not set precedence for a toxic, misogynistic, xenophobic culture that is already and will likely continue to have far reaching consequences. By both speech as an action, and policy making.

But what's very important to me is civil rights, foreign affairs, healthcare and education. All of which the Trump administration has done abysmally at.

Really? How?

The "control" is mere influence. In that regard, all players influence the market.
But control in the sense that one can do something significantly deterministic,
only the fed can with policy, eg, setting interest rates.
It is so easy! If you big fund you just punch numbers, short or long or....nothing is sacred on the market, I as retail customer need cash, they need nothing just a plan.

This 'I am my own mountain' rhetoric when talking about socioeconomic policies is as tiring as when elitist ******** don't want to pay into public schools when they private school their kids.

They took out the loan of their own free will. Government created this problem. Public K-19 are not universities. University are not solely run by government thus government employees. Yawn.

Tough titties, you live in a social society and new generations of degree holders needing to be able to live is more important.

Do not take out loans you can not pay back.

Or is it any wonder the number of medical professionals in the US is plummeting?

You cite no actual cause. Hand waving. Yawn.

Followed immediately by undermining threatening overtures and Twitter fueled backbiting.
I can't discern if you're disagreeing with me that his making peace overtures
with N Korea is a positive thing, or tacitly agreeing, but offering criticism of
his subsequent behavior..
Which is great.
I'll take this as detente....something good which Trump did.
Too bad overall the tax reform did more to line the pockets of the wealthy and grossly overestimated new growth offset to the deficit. Which means wealthy are getting wealthier at the expense of average Amerians.
Trump's hand in greatly increasing deficit spending & the national
debt is certainly a negative thing IMO. Many lefties are OK with
this, but I'm glad that we're on the same side here.

I'll also note that Trump wanted SALT deductions to be eliminated.
I'd have preferred that, but I speculate that it would be politically
impossible. So I'm OK with the $10K/year limitation.
It already did not apply to those who couldn't afford it. It was eliminated for people who could but didn't want to, crippling it and placing no better plan.
It did apply to those who couldn't afford it.
So Trump gets credit for fixing Obama's heinous burden upon those who didn't buy insurance.
But I fault Trump for not pushing a better plan.
Further, perusing prior condition exemptions puts us worse than square one, where an unacceptable number of preventable deaths were happening due to lack of health coverage access, and people going bankrupt due to medical bills at an alarming rate.

Granted, was never a huge fan of Romenycare myself and would happily trash Obamacare for a proper socialized health system in a heartbeat.

I would have no problem aknowledging things which could be a net benefit in the Trump administration. I just don't feel the need to applaud the twice a day correctness of a broken clock.
I seldom feel a need to applaud anything in government.
Some exceptions (not a comprehensive list)....
- USSC legalization of gay marriage.
- SALT deduction limitation.
- Presumption of innocence of the accused in university justice systems.

Btw, you get credit for giving to showing some positivity about some Trump actions.
As for Trump himself, neither of us is positive about him as a person.
He's icky.

Was that too harsh?

What a novel idea.

A friend told me her daughter owes $200K in loans incurred
while earning her BS in physics. Instead of using her degree
to find lucrative work, she works in a Michael's (fabric & notions).
Bad move, eh?

The more he offends people, the more his "base" love him for it. They are feeding on the animosity that he stirs up.

So for you it's ok Trump goes around and say he get away with murder?
Is that a president America want?

That's what the Left said. Trump was only repeating claims made by the Left. So the offense here is Trump repeating claims made by the left?

They took out the loan of their own free will.
Is that why a slew of for profit universities were sued into the ground recently for predatory tuitions? (Student loans: Court fight looms over debts of former Corinthian Colleges students) Doesnt sound like 'buyer beware' held up well, especially not when victimizing teens with little financial experience and no realistic ideas of what the job market will afford them to pay off.
So your advice really says 'don't go to college unless you're rich.' One of many reasons US is becoming a **** hole.
Government created this problem. Public K-19 are not universities. University are not solely run by government thus government employees.
Not relevant.

I did twice. Prospective medical professionals can't afford the lengthy schooling even becoming higher priced specialists. The result is less people 'making it' as doctors, especially in lower pay but higher need positions

Yep.. We need more family practice and internal medicine not more of the IM subspecialties.

The latter.

Broken clocks are not terribly useful, all considering. None of the trifles Trump has done have convinced me he's not the worst president we've had in my lifetime. But if you're fishing for Trump compliments, sure. There's even a few things I agreed on with the worst fascists history have had, let alone someone so incompetent that he can only be a wanna be fascist.

I don't know any lefties that are 'ok' with the deficit. They just have very different views on how it should be resolved. Specifically not by cutting social safety net funding or investing it in corporate welfare in the hopes that 'the market will fix itself'
It did apply to those who couldn't afford it.
It didn't. Low income were already exempt from the fee. But, imo, it's moot. Healthcare will always be expensive while healthcare companies are allowed to price gouge.
I agree we need a much better solution than Obamacare/Romneycare.

Yes the video is 3 years old, but Trump has repeated it in later interviews.
Hopefully Some day America will stop Trump.

Yes, I find him completely disgusting. I can't believe someone so hateful can get away with it either. I know that I have heard many people tell me that they can't wait to vote for someone else. I don't think he'll be in office after 2020 no matter how confident he is that he will be. I think that enough good people have seen his true colors to vote him out.

It looks like what my sister always says, 5 old white men are running the world. So, there were a lot more people there but I saw one black face. The rest were white and most were old men. Not good for anyone else. Once again, I hope people see this and vote him out.

Umm who from the left said it before Trump?

Maybe I was wrong. Trump said "they said", I assumed he was referring to someone else actually making this statement. Hard to dig through all of the partial videos to find if this was an actual reference.

Sigh...nothing of the sort.
That goes against my whole theme here, ie, evaluating
policies & effects, not praising or condemning him.
My intent is not at all getting across.
