Fairly Unusual Things About You

What are some fairly unusual things about you, at least compared to those in your social circle?

Off the top of my head, these are mine (without anything connected to religion or politics):

• Since August 2011, I've only watched four movies, each only once. I haven't watched any TV shows in that period. Both are purely due to lack of interest.

• I (intentionally) don't have a TV, and I dislike satellite TV.

• For some reason I don't gain or lose weight regardless of my diet, activity or lack thereof, or anything else. Since 2012, I've only gained one kilogram (or about 2.2 pounds). This includes times when I mostly lived on fast food for at least two months and others when my appetite was barely existent.

• I'm purposely fairly distant from most people around me except for only a few—not on bad terms with anyone, but also only close to few.

Your turn! :D

- No tv? That makes two of us. I sold mine years ago and never missed it.

- I also have trouble with social situations. I don't feel at ease in groups. I'm more of a loner, happy with a good book and a coffee. I don't like parties and weddings are my personal definition of "someone please get me out of this movie!".

- Sometimes people get annoyed at me because I don't react to things the way they expected. I don't do emotional displays and I'm very private about my life. People misunderstand that with being cold, which I don't believe I am.

I love Brussels sprouts.

Most in my circle have have decent musical talent. I have absolutely NONE! Took piano lessons for years and am still so lame people ask me to stop playing. Same goes for my voice. (I start singing just to annoy them ;)) However, I do have fair artistic ability.

Just curious, does this keep your hat from blowing off in a strong wind? And who doesn't love those little cabbage wannabes?

My feet are actually 1 full size different, makes finding shoes fun. It must be rare because every time I tell a shoe salesman they don't believe me until they measure my feet.

I'm a fully Trained Network computer electronics repairman and have been doing it for over 30 years. Yet I own few electronics and never owned a Cell Phone.

When I blow my nose it sounds like a goose honking, I get many stares.

I have never had a cavity or broken bone. (Dislocated a finger once though. That was fun.)

My husband and I sponsor weekly publuc dungeons and dragons games.

I am a 30-some year old who still grows, dries/cans her own produce and makes weekly stocks and broths.

1: I don't have a left ear
2: I am physically adventurous, and have been known to do things such as climb up and run on all fours atop a stone wall with a 50-foot sheer drop on the other side, or lying directly beneath a street performer who was juggling knives on a tightrope, without giving one single solitary ****
3: I spend a lot of time talking with people on the Internet about religion (I would say I go to church regularly but as of late that would sadly be a lie)
4: I have attempted actual parkour (or the physical exercise required to git gud)
5: I'm slim and in somewhat decent physical shape
6: I taught myself how to do Tuvan throat singing over the summer (and yes I can prove it)
7: I've never gotten blackout drunk

Thank you.

Painted in a sense. It's done with pastels.

Very nicely done love pastels. You can't play music because it was taught wrong to you. Like you don't start with oil and try and paint a reproduction of the mona Lisa. If you can tap your foot in rhythm you can play a geeeetar which is a drum with strings really. Even I can play that.

I've had five broken collarbones, one broken leg, one broken tailbone, one badly dislocated arm that I can't straighten out, three collapsed disks in my neck (two of them have recovered though), my left hand is partially paralyzed, a rare allergic reaction that literally almost killed me when I was 30, got food poisoning so bad that I was mostly paralyzed for several minutes and ended up in the e.r., have a knee-cap that was cracked by a wire thrown out by a lawnmower, left enough blood on trampolines to float a battleship (high school & college gymnastics), two ripped tendons in my legs, sciatica, arthritis, etc.

Other than that, I'm in great shape.

Among my friends, I have been called an encyclopedia of useless information. Unfortunately, I cant disagree.

I used to say the same thing!... Then, while engaging in the daring activity of dusting, I fell and broke and dislocated my arm! Oh, and tore the ligaments in my elbow as well. 3 screws and a pin later, I can't brag about that anymore. Oh well! :D

Nope. I've had a good half dozen piano teachers, the last one being exceptional. And when I realized she couldn't help me I gave up on the thing. I have no interest in any other instrument. Want to by a beautiful, walnut, one owner, 5' 9" medium grand?
