According to Jesus' words at John 17:17 ' religious truth ' is found in the pages of Scripture.
Yes, take your core belief and verify it objectively and you will find the truth.
I would think being as honest as you can with yourself, besides being humble and being hungry for truth.
Where? There's not really a location you go to to find the truth.
How? I'd say stop looking for it. I see the truth as the reality of whatever I'm experiencing right now in this moment. Tomorrow the truth maybe something different.

Truth is conformity with reality.
As long as you're making accurate unmisleading statements about objective reality, you're telling the truth.
Truth isn't absolute, of course ─ it's our best opinion for the time being so it changes. It used to be true that the world was flat and the sun went round it, that phlogiston explained fire, that the earth's crust was fixed, that Donald Trump was unelectable. Now those truths have had to be updated.

Which truth? That drinking too much alcohol gets you drunk! In that case, truth is found in a bottle.
I am not sure humanity ever will agree on what is truth in regard to science or God.

That's funny in context and it's also an accurate answer to the question.
We've evolved to survive and breed, and to do so as social creatures. If we do that, we potentially get satisfaction in the most basic category of existence.
That doesn't affect our right to choose not to have offspring, or not to engage with society, but we have to invent our own reasons for doing that.
