She is 9. If grown adults can't handle a 9 year old without pepper spraying them then they shouldn't be police. She was fighting cuz she was scaredWhat is sickening is that a child would fight with the police and spit at them. If shee followed instruction and did what she was told there would not have been a problem.
I keep in mind that I'm no expert but I think there was no need to pepper spray, what they needed was a paddy wagon as its easier to load a resistant offender.A nine year old was peppered sprayed by cops(warning footage is graphic)
Hard to fault you for noticing the single most salient point of all -- several adults, and one 9 year old girl! She is 9. If grown adults can't handle a 9 year old without pepper spraying them then they shouldn't be police. She was fighting cuz she was scared
I agree. What is sickening is that a child would fight with the police and spit at them. If shee followed instruction and did what she was told there would not have been a problem.
Yeah, I agree with that, too.....no need for the pepper spray. She is 9. If grown adults can't handle a 9 year old without pepper spraying them then they shouldn't be police. She was fighting cuz she was scared
They recruit Right Wing Authoritarians and Social Dominants. They dress them like Robo-Cop, and give them an impressive armamentarium. They train them to take and maintain control in every encounter, and not back off. Their aggressive, take charge approach tends to escalate confrontations, not defuse them.Hard to fault you for noticing the single most salient point of all -- several adults, and one 9 year old girl!
Do police in the US do any training at all these days?
what is sickening is someone would say such nonsense! What is sickening is that a child would fight with the police and spit at them. If shee followed instruction and did what she was told there would not have been a problem.
People following instructions mindlessly are a problem. What is sickening is that a child would fight with the police and spit at them. If shee followed instruction and did what she was told there would not have been a problem.
Authority has to be questioned.Authority has to be respected. Otherwise don't have democracy or police. Though not recommending heartlessness. I have read many stories of police bravery and kindness - even in India.
People are generally afraid of that which might hurt them. No?Authority has to be questioned.
It derives its powers from the consent of the governed. It exists to secure the rights and freedoms of the people. Whenever it becomes destructive of these ends, it's our duty to alter or abolish it.
Submission to authority has had grave consequences, historically.
The officer made a very interesting comment as to why certain communities just don't get the same commodities as others. Now, for example, when a child takes a gun and wants to kill others, I guess it's ok by some to just let them do it because they shouldn't be apprehended by forcible means? (I guess it is ok with some...) What a miserable world we live in. But, of course, if a parent beats a child as "disciple," that's ok, right? Just wondering...your viewpoint. It will get worse.
Putting handcuffs on little children.
Check.
Now pepper spray as the OP?
Check?
What's next?
Taser?
Too late.
Shooting 6 year old children?
Too late.
One thing for certain is we live in a very sick society now.
According to something I read she said she was suicidal. They werent arresting her they were taking her to a hospital.Yeah, I agree with that, too.....no need for the pepper spray.
We are only given half the story.
Why did the officers feel they needed to arrest her? What did she do? (That’s an important part.)
Inquiring minds want to know.
