Getting back to the title of this thread what do you think that their verdict will be? I like to think that it will be this:

I make no predictions.Getting back to the title of this thread what do you think that their verdict will be? I like to think that it will be this:
I'm waiting for the screamers to make their debut.Definitely. It's probably not too terribly far away a reality of robots dominating the battlefield.
Aaahh, you're no fun. For example if they decide to draft old coots like us the result could be:I make no predictions.
The problem is that the court often rules based upon its
perception of what is best for the country according to
their values & experiences. The law will then be bent
to that agenda.
However, I do belive you have implied that you carry a firearm for protection. How is that any different from joining the military to protect your family and others from the possible outcome from WWII?I'd have felt no obligation then too.
I also felt no obligation to design tools for war.
But I chose to do it because I believed it worth the effort.
I am putting on my magic psychic hat:However, I do belive you have implied that you carry a firearm for protection. How is that any different from joining the military to protect your family and others from the possible outcome from WWII?
In prison for resisting the draft?Aaahh, you're no fun. For example if they decide to draft old coots like us the result could be:
I carry a handgun voluntarily. However, I do belive you have implied that you carry a firearm for protection. How is that any different from joining the military to protect your family and others from the possible outcome from WWII?
Then you should have replied thus:In prison for resisting the draft?
I'd never go along.
Is that even a question of law before the court?Looks straightforward to me.
Perhaps some of them will see it that way.
But I make no predictions about strict constructionists
reading the 13th Amendment's prohibition of involuntary
servitude. Nor do I see the liberals being necessarily
all equal rights for men & women.
Ok, how about we agree to disagree.I carry a handgun voluntarily.
But for the people & their government to force a
minority to do the fighting for them for minimal
compensation is unacceptable.
Could be.Is that even a question of law before the court?
Of course.Ok, how about we agree to disagree.
Does that mean you oppose the form of required working for others called taxes?I don't think either sex belongs in a military, nor do I think any group has a right to require anyone to fight or work for them.
lol too many men claiming to be a woman to get out of drafts? This will be an interesting one to watch.
Will conventional thinking prevail?
Or will the Constitution?
High court asked to review men-only draft registration law
There are easier ways to avoid it.lol too many men claiming to be a woman to get out of drafts?
I'm just saying knee high silk socks feel awfully good. There are easier ways to avoid it.
Although some are felonies.
Too tall.I'm just saying knee high silk socks feel awfully good.
If whether the draft constitutes involuntary servitude is not a question before the court they will not be ruling on it.Could be.
They don't tell me anything.
