I also don't see climate change there. So, no need, even for people of the book, to not accept science.God made a promise to Noah right after the flood abated.
Gen 8:22,
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.I don't see climate change there. No need to fear, God is here!
So, if you want to interpret that verse to mean that the Climate Change we are in fact experiencing, is not happening, perhaps you are reading the verse wrong? Try this. All of those will continue, but they will be such that humans can't survive as before because they don't bring enough fruit from the earth anymore. While they continue, it'll be good for feeding small rodents and cockroaches, not human life.God made a promise to Noah right after the flood abated.

Using my "Bible" to look for climate change information is a lot like using my copies of "Scientific American" to look for theological information.God made a promise to Noah right after the flood abated.

The polar bears aren't happy.
Polar Bears Really Are Starving Because of Global Warming, Study Shows
"Scientists have observed that there are now three times as many polar bears in the Arctic than there were in the 1970s."
(And also)
Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne said at the department’s press conference that the polar bear population increased from "a low of about 12,000 in the late 1960s to approximately 25,000 today."
(But wait, I thought they were endangered?)
So why place polar bears on the list of "threatened" species if their numbers have been growing? Many scientists believe that due to climate change and resulting environmental factors, the trend is reversing.
There are cycles, and we are in a "hot" cycle right now, but it will start to cool down sooner or later. Hopefully it will be in time to save the polar bears. It is a fact that 99% of species that lived are now extinct, so maybe the time is up for polar bears. The polar bears aren't happy.

Good point. It sounds good except for the seeding and harvesting times, which means people will be around to plant and harvest. So, if you want to interpret that verse to mean that the Climate Change we are in fact experiencing, is not happening, perhaps you are reading the verse wrong? Nothing in that verses says humans can't destroy their own environment so that it can't support themselves anymore, which is exactly what we are in fact doing. Think of it like emptying raw sewage into your drinking water. God doesn't promise to fix that problem for you that you created through stupidity.
Well actually, I might see an article on science and religion in Scientific American so that's not to me an exact analogy.Using my "Bible" to look for climate change information is a lot like using my copies of "Scientific American" to look for theological information.
You may be missing a key ingredient to Gen 8:22, namely the first few words, "while the earth remaineth." This one will end, and that is what the verses you quoted are talking about. There is another verse that says the elements will melt.Jeremiah 2:7
And I brought you into a plentiful land to enjoy its fruits and its good things. But when you came in, you defiled my land and made my heritage an abomination.
Isaiah 24:4-6
The earth mourns and withers; the world languishes and withers; the highest people of the earth languish. The earth lies defiled under its inhabitants; for they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse devours the earth, and its inhabitants suffer for their guilt; therefore the inhabitants of the earth are scorched, and few men are left.
Isaiah 51:6
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look at the earth beneath; for the heavens vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment, and they who dwell in it will die in like manner;

We are in a hot cycle now, but if Genesis is true, it will cool down sooner of later.
But did the writers of the fantasy story in Gen 8:22 ask why the Great Barrier Reef is being bleached and dying from global warming and why the Antartic Peninsular and Greenland is greening?God made a promise to Noah right after the flood abated.

Tell us more about cycles and how you learned about them. And tell us what factors have to be present for the start of a cooling period. There are cycles, and we are in a "hot" cycle right now, but it will start to cool down sooner or later.
I hear people all the time say that the earth will outlive humans.*scratches head*
I haven't heard anyone claim that climate change will cause any of those things to cease.
Well, the the verse of the OP is just such a verse.Using my "Bible" to look for climate change information is a lot like using my copies of "Scientific American" to look for theological information.
What I know is that many people are afraid of climate change. I also know it is not necessary to be afraid. That's all I'm saying. You don't know what a climate change is do you?
