I guess that is because most people do not think like I do.How do you explain the fact that such a scenario is not self-evident?

It depends on what is being put forward by the Messenger; as a true Messenger of God will say there is only One Religion; the idea people said there are religions, already means to me they're an unbeliever in all the previous revelation, and therefore do not accept the one they prophesied of either - If we do not accept the parts, we can not comprehend the whole. If God spoke again through a new Messenger who had a message for all of humanity, would it “matter” if the adherents to the older religions recognized that Messenger and followed His religion, or would it be acceptable for religious people to continue following the older religions they adhere to?
I have to agree.I guess that is because most people do not think like I do.
Sorry, but that's plain weird. I suppose grovelling is good for us, too.God does not want servants to serve Him; God wants us to be servants because it is beneficial for us to serve.
But those who think it matters also think it should matter to all those who don't think it matters. But it doesn't matter.I think it matters to those who think it matters.
That's a lot to claim, if you consider that anybody who felt so motivated could come along and say, "Hi, I'm the new Messenger. God sent me. So join my religion please."Okay, I'll bite.
If God sent a new Messenger I think it would matter if people recognized and followed that Messenger and if that Messenger founded a new religion I think everyone should join that religion. But that is just my personal opinion and it is based upon my logic.
No, I said IF God spoke again through a new Messenger who had a message for all of humanity, so it was hypothetical…
I will provide what I consider evidence, as long as I won’t get dinged by staff for proselytizing, because that would be unjust.
Not only my religion, but also the other Abrahamic religions.
But how does having your own personal message only you recognize help all of humanity?
How would you know they were resurrected?

Can you look directly at the sun without harming your vision?
Likewise, a filter is needed to see What is from God.

Why do we have tests in school, are we not educated into this way of progression?
AGAIN? When did His Almighty speak the first time?If God spoke again through a new Messenger who had a message for all of humanity, would it “matter” if the adherents to the older religions recognized that Messenger and followed His religion, or would it be acceptable for religious people to continue following the older religions they adhere to?
If you think it matters why do you think so?
If you think it does not matter why don’t you think so?
Because God is not trying to ensure that everyone gets the message.
God wants us to make a sincere effort and use our innate intelligence.
Some people will get the message and some won't.
I suppose God could make sure we knew it was really HIM speaking if He wanted to.
But obviously God does not want to do that and God only does what He wants to do.
I find that response bewildering.
You are saying that if the whole population had a revelation, you would doubt its validity, but you are prepared to believe ancient scribblings ?
And that if God spoke to you, it would be indistinguishable from random voices in your head ?
You don’t give God much credit as a communicator.
You believe God is omnipotent, but incapable of making himself heard ?
if God speaks to you, it is in reality you, speaking to yourself
The Native Americans and other indigenous tribes kept this entire planet and ecosystems intact for 50,000 years or more. 11,000 in North America because of their "religious" beliefs. More as a way of life. Look how long it took for people of other faiths to destroy the entire planet. 250 years for this country. The way they worshipped nature and wild life is the only valid belief system imo. And they had many gods. Seems only when this One God idea took over everything went to ****.Native Americans and Tibetans are the best people the planet has produced.
In fact, they are the same race.
Dalai Lama and Sun Bear (Hopi chief) met, and acknowledged that they are tribal brothers.
The Hopi call Tibetans ‘elder brothers from the mountains’.

9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 12 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.
And herein lies the problem. You're so biased that EVEN IF a TRUE MESSENGER from a god you didn't believe in appeared and did his "messenger thing", and EVEN IF HE WAS RIGHT and held all the keys to the truth about the true "spiritual realm"... you wouldn't believe or follow. Do you realize this? You wouldn't - because it wouldn't conform to your preconceived notions about what such a leader/messenger should represent.Yes, my OP is based upon an Abrahamic type of Messenger. I know others have different beliefs.
It is't possible. All so called messengers after the first century AD are false, counterfeits, they do not function by the will or Spirit of God.If God spoke again through a new Messenger who had a message for all of humanity, would it “matter” if the adherents to the older religions recognized that Messenger and followed His religion, or would it be acceptable for religious people to continue following the older religions they adhere to?
