In my Mashup thread? I don't think it needs a spoiler because there is no profanity in the title. I'll tag it NSFW though. Thanks for the heads up.

Rather than derailing the thread i put thie here. About a separate thread, not sure there is enough to say to warrant one.

In any state the brain thinks, consciously and/or subconsciously (controlling the heart and breathing). When the brain stops thinking that indicates brain death, the essence of you, the thinker ceases to exist although the atoms dont, they never cease to exist. So, what is existence?

In deep sleep, while anesthetized, or during samadhi, I don't think the brain is thinking. Perhaps it continues to control involuntary motor functions, but again, I don't think that involves any thought.

Years of practice in meditation has helped me to silence the though chatter on demand. But again, it does take years of disciplined practice. :)

Sorry I missed this, @Brickjectivity. I'm just now seeing it.

If you're talking about within the circle on the head, that's Om (ॐ) which is Sanskrit, which for me represents the three states of consciousness (waking, dream, sleep) along with maya and the fourth state, which is turiya (pure consciousness.

If you're talking about the Sanskrit letters under my username, that translates to satcitananda, which translates in English to Existence (Truth), Consciousness, Bliss.
