Are you an atheist?
So there's a supernatural dimension to the universe? Where did it come from? Are there good and evil spirits?I am not an atheist, nor do I call myself a theist. I keep it simple, I am just a human who loves Spirituality.
I met a Master in India who has a teaching I agree with. I have had Supernatural experiences. So I know this to be true. No one agrees on the definition of the word God, hence I can not say I believe or believe not in this "rather undefined word God (for me a definition works if all agree on it)". I do believe there is immense power in the Universe. I know it is possible to "tap into this energy". I just do not call it God. I believe in Saints and Sages, because I met a few.
I just am not so easy in "believing blind". I prefer to experience things myself. Then I know. I rather skip the "belief" part.
People tell "Jesus is still alive". So one day I was in a church where they had a 12h long ceremony. I prayed intensely for like 8h, and finally I got a wonderful experience with Jesus. So I do believe in Jesus also. But I also believe in My Master or in Buddha (once I did a few hours of a kind of Vipassana meditation and had a wonderful experience).
So there's a supernatural dimension to the universe? Where did it come from? Are there good and evil spirits?
But God is all-sufficient in and of Himself and wouldn't need to share anything nor should He have any wants if again, He's all-sufficient in and of Himself and already is sharing perfect love within Himself, isn't He?
I believe it is false to consider life meaningless. It may feel meaningless if your perspective is solely based on material things or if you are looking at life only from the vantage point of our humanistic culture and perspective, but God's words says otherwise. God gives real meaning to life now and forever to anyone who seeks His truth about the matter. Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10Why do you believe it to be false?
This strong atheist sees it more as being simply a case of gargantuan creative expression. Any artist should be able to explain the mechanics involved. In short, the artist does not need to create. They simply do it as a part of expressing themselves. To quote the marvelous zefrank1 "It's what they do!"But God is all-sufficient in and of Himself and wouldn't need to share anything nor should He have any wants if again, He's all-sufficient in and of Himself and already is sharing perfect love within Himself, isn't He?
Jesus did say ...So kids who got cancer or got killed or who perished due to starvation and even aborted or miscarried babies fulfilled their potential... how? How can you fulfill your potential if you've never even lived?
If you want to change the subject and debate the truth of the Bible as God's word why not start another thread? There is not one shred of evidence that anything quoted in the Bible is the word of god, or that it actually exists.
What do these things entail?Witness the mind" ... and ... "Who am I"
Well thought He had relationship within the Trinity but ok. If He wants to love why one hundred and seven billion people? Why "need" vs "want to"? Is just loving oneself the perfect love? Or is it perfected when one gives love?
Because that's just how I feel about the matter and TBH I don't want God to give my life meaning because that comes with strings attached to itHow have you come to the conclusion that "your life is has no meaning" anyway? What makes you feel your perspective is correct or takes precedence over God's revealed truth on the subject?
That begs the question: does God have emotions? This strong atheist sees it more as being simply a case of gargantuan creative expression. Any artist should be able to explain the mechanics involved. In short, the artist does not need to create. They simply do it as a part of expressing themselves. To quote the marvelous zefrank1 "It's what they do!"
Again, this strong atheist has no problem, whatsoever, imagining a god persona as having the god equivalent of human emotions. That begs the question: does God have emotions?
Oh, yeah....you’re right. But then, with the right spin, you can support any view. The Bible’s a huge book.No it doesn't speak of a Trinity but I'm sure Trinitarians can find evidence to support their views as well.
Yes.That begs the question: does God have emotions?
I have had Supernatural experiences. So I know this to be true.
My main spiritual practise is "Witness the mind" ... and ... "Who am I" ...
What do these things entail?
Wow, would you mind relating one? Because I’d like to believe you, as I’ve known many others who’ve had experiences, too.
No drugs involved.
Although, it’s interesting: the Greek word “phar-ma-ki’a”, where we get our English words pharmacy and pharmaceuticals, actually means “spiritism” in Greek.
If you don’t want to, I understand.
