I am not an atheist, nor do I call myself a theist. I keep it simple, I am just a human who loves Spirituality.

I met a Master in India who has a teaching I agree with. I have had Supernatural experiences. So I know this to be true. No one agrees on the definition of the word God, hence I can not say I believe or believe not in this "rather undefined word God (for me a definition works if all agree on it)". I do believe there is immense power in the Universe. I know it is possible to "tap into this energy". I just do not call it God. I believe in Saints and Sages, because I met a few.

I just am not so easy in "believing blind". I prefer to experience things myself. Then I know. I rather skip the "belief" part.

People tell "Jesus is still alive". So one day I was in a church where they had a 12h long ceremony. I prayed intensely for like 8h, and finally I got a wonderful experience with Jesus. So I do believe in Jesus also. But I also believe in My Master or in Buddha (once I did a few hours of a kind of Vipassana meditation and had a wonderful experience).

So there's a supernatural dimension to the universe? Where did it come from? Are there good and evil spirits?

My main spiritual practise is "Witness the mind" ... and ... "Who am I" ...
When I am Self Realized maybe I can answer your question "Where did it come from?".

I decided to only contact good people. I leave the "evil spirits" for others to investigate.

Why "need" vs "want to"? Is just loving oneself the perfect love? Or is it perfected when one gives love?

I believe it is false to consider life meaningless. It may feel meaningless if your perspective is solely based on material things or if you are looking at life only from the vantage point of our humanistic culture and perspective, but God's words says otherwise. God gives real meaning to life now and forever to anyone who seeks His truth about the matter. Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10

How have you come to the conclusion that "your life is has no meaning" anyway? What makes you feel your perspective is correct or takes precedence over God's revealed truth on the subject?

There is not one shred of evidence that anything quoted in the Bible is the word of god, or that it actually exists.

This strong atheist sees it more as being simply a case of gargantuan creative expression. Any artist should be able to explain the mechanics involved. In short, the artist does not need to create. They simply do it as a part of expressing themselves. To quote the marvelous zefrank1 "It's what they do!"

    Jesus did say ...
...unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3-4

Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.
    Luke 18:16

The lives of many children may be sadly cut short in this sin filled world, but they have potential that goes on forever in God's eternal kingdom.

If you want to change the subject and debate the truth of the Bible as God's word why not start another thread?

Because that's just how I feel about the matter and TBH I don't want God to give my life meaning because that comes with strings attached to it

That begs the question: does God have emotions?

Again, this strong atheist has no problem, whatsoever, imagining a god persona as having the god equivalent of human emotions.

Oh, yeah....you’re right. But then, with the right spin, you can support any view. The Bible’s a huge book.

That’s why Jesus said you could ID His followers, not necessarily by what they teach, but by how they treat others, how they act. Matthew 7:18-23; John 13:34-35; John 15:10-12,17.

Tell me, in your view, have Trinitarians professing Christianity avoided conflicts, or have they supported their respective nations in war efforts?

I mean, love is the measuring stick.

Wow, would you mind relating one? Because I’d like to believe you, as I’ve known many others who’ve had experiences, too.

    No drugs involved.

Although, it’s interesting: the Greek word “phar-ma-ki’a”, where we get our English words pharmacy and pharmaceuticals, actually means “spiritism” in Greek.

If you don’t want to, I understand.

"Who Am I": Below a 2min youtube explaining this, as taught by Ramana Maharishi (Indian Saint). To reach a quiet mind

"Witness the mind", means that you just observe the mind (=bundle of thoughts). You don't feed the mind, stop daydreaming is step 1.

    Thanks for understanding.

I think many people have these experiences (I did not meet many myself like you, but I did meet a few). It all depends whether or not you open yourself or close yourself. But even this is not true. When I started my spiritual quest I spoke out "I don't want visions and stuff, I just want to feel Love". But after a few years I was granted them anyway without me asking.

I get the feeling that we are given when there is a need (and time is right). I was very scientific, did not believe anything, unless I experienced it. These experiences humbled me ... there is so much possible ... I know nothing at all. And if this is possible, then anything is possible. I still don't believe blind, but I do keep an open mind, because now I know "the sky has no limits".

Thanks for telling about “phar-ma-ki’a”. I did not know that.
In India I came across "Patanjali". He also spoke on drugs related to "spirituality". But He did warn that the "path using drugs" is more karmic. The path of devotion is the safer path for most people. Nice to see that different countries have similar wisdom.
