Why do you believe it to be false? You are certainly welcome to your own perspective, but nihilism strikes me as quite fatalistic and depressing, which I also believe to be false.

Why do you believe it to be false? You are certainly welcome to your own perspective, but nihilism strikes me as quite fatalistic and depressing, which I also believe to be false.
I think they would say that those people would be covered under God's grace and be resurrected in the end timesThere were people on earth long before Jesus lived, so those people had no chance; this totally made no sense to me
I think Christians believe God is a spiritIf God is human like (like a Father) then He must be very huge to be able to create the universe, which is pretty big.
Maybe it isn't supposed to make senseAt age 10 this did not make sense to me. Still now, this God concept makes no sense to me.
Yeah I agreeSatan concept I find really sickening. So I stay far away from that. It is fine with me if others fancy to believe in this, but I don't want this in my mind
OK didn't know that... but maybe he was trying to kill Jesus before He could die on the cross...But Satan just can't understand spiritual issues...he and the demons had that ability taken away from them. They are in "dense spiritual darkness."
OK I understand. What have you learned so far from walking your path? One is always able to study and find out the truth about God and become infallible in ones undertakings (become God in human form). It is achieved through yoga of truth accommodation, the Hindu path that I have personally identified as something that has worked for me.
I smiled because I believe every person should be able to believe in whatever they find as the truth without being proselytized by someone else. So I was just acknowledging your comments as something that I have been through in the past.
OK I understand but what you believe influences how you live, right?True friendship is stronger than disagreements. Its very difficult introducing you to this topic, so I am going to list some verses which inspire me about this. James says that we quarrel because of pride, and he and others say that general all human speech is flawed. I perceive a doctrine that our ideas are lower than God's truth and that we are all equally liars compared with God, so there is not only occasional contradictory positions but continual contradictions between us until we die. At the same time we are supposed to try to understand, however multiple interpretations are expected.
Those are some favorites, but there are at least 30 more like them. Multiple interpretations ought to be expected and allowed for. It seems that very strictly the NT teaches what matters is how you live not what you know or agree about. In general preachers do not like this, because it tends to threaten their jobs. Politicians also don't find it convenient. What they find convenient are squabbling Christians.
- Proverbs 17:17 "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity."
- 1 John 1:9-10 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us."
- Romans 3:2-5 "Much in every way! First of all, the Jews have been entrusted with the very words of God. What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: 'So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.' "
- Romans 3:11 "...there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God..."
- 1 Corinthians 8:1 "...knowledge puffs up, but love builds up..."
- 1 Peter 2:15 "For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people."
Clearly they were not protected and suffered harm. There are two interpretations or more of why. One of them is in Job.
OK, cool... that makes sense. Who guides you on the process of fulfilling your potential though and what about people who die young and don't get to fulfill their potential? That the purpose of life is to exist to one's full potential as @Sunstone advocates.
I guide myself. People who die young have fulfilled their potentials.OK, cool... that makes sense. Who guides you on the process of fulfilling your potential though and what about people who die young and don't get to fulfill their potential?
So kids who got cancer or got killed or who perished due to starvation and even aborted or miscarried babies fulfilled their potential... how? How can you fulfill your potential if you've never even lived?I guide myself. People who die young have fulfilled their potentials.
It is all to do with your genetics - have you heard of DNA?So kids who got cancer or got killed or who perished due to starvation and even aborted or miscarried babies fulfilled their potential... how? How can you fulfill your potential if you've never even lived?
Yes I've heard of DNA but what does that have to do with fulfilling one's potential? It is all to do with your genetics - have you heard of DNA?
DNA arrangements explains what the individual potentials are for the growth of the individual. Without this information no one can know how to live fully.Yes I've heard of DNA but what does that have to do with fulfilling one's potential?
Explain the potential of an aborted or miscarried baby to me.DNA arrangements explains what the individual potentials are for the growth of the individual. Without this information no one can know how to live fully.
You need to go to University and learn the basic science first. This Forum is not suitable for such education.Explain the potential of an aborted or miscarried baby to me.
OK man whatever you say...You need to go to University and learn the basic science first. This Forum is not suitable for such education.
There is an explanation for everything.OK man whatever you say...
Is it all part of some divine plan? There is an explanation for everything.
Maybe it isn't supposed to make sense
Are you an atheist? So maybe it isn't supposed to believe in either. I mean "being the only way ... and others are wrong"
No one can know the mind of God in terms of why He created the universe: one can only learn from God as much as one needs for one's survival to one's genetic potential on this Earth. Is it all part of some divine plan?
