It is very good to look within our own mind to find the shortcomings we struggle with in the practice, so i am very much agree with you on this'How am I falling short of the way Jesus wants me to live?' 'Why?'
I reflect on that every night before I go to sleep and every morning when I awake - after thanking God for another day.
If you have changed the way you used to be, to someone who does not hurt others, i would say you have done what God ask of you To become a better person then you used to be.I'm very concerned about the question as to whether or not I will be saved
I've done some horrible things to people in my past and yes, I know God forgives...
But I'm still worried

Not applicable. It is a labyrinth with no exit (in my opinion) and as such I don't go there - seeing all too often how it affects others.
I can live with doubt.
what you said ,that very profound .its that want of certainty to be fulfilled that gnaws at a person . we have to know for sureDesire for certainty is the craving that a lot of spiritual seekers don’t recognise as craving.

Thank you.Well, there’s something you could address, trying to do less.
Just let it not happen.
