If they dd write it, they wrote about the reality of the person Daniel and I doubt it was written in 168BCNope. There was NO Daniel. The book was written by a committee of Jews circa 168 BC.

As in King David that has multiple archaeological evidences that you were wrong, hopefully this will answer your modern position that it was written at 168BC.The Book of Daniel was written during the Maccabean Revolt and the Abomination of Desolation that was Antiochus IV Epiphanes.
Do you know anything at all about that period in history?

When Was the Book of Daniel Written?
Of course, like King David, you can choose to not believe no matter what evidence is presented.
If David existed he was a bandit king over a 10 acre kingdom of 800 people.
What the hell does that have to do with the Book of Daniel?
I guess history is different for you. No problem.
Would be interesting to see Islamic religion numbers in there too.But not everywhere. In some places it's actually flourishing.
.
There was no Daniel..................
I agree Asia has gone up in Christianity, they have been sending missionaries to Asia. But a few years ago i remember thread being put up about Christianity is dying in Europe so Im surprised to see it at 66 percent here. But not everywhere. In some places it's actually flourishing.
.
I am wondering if you could give us one example that impresses you ___________________In as much as he pulls from 1st-century scripture and directs it correctly, I would say as Jesus taught.
I wonder why No one informed Jesus that there was No Daniel as per Mark 13:14; Matthew 24:15____________
- Daniel 9:27; Daniel 11:31; Daniel 12:11
Yipes, I was in England in 1972 and Christianity (religion) was already dying.I agree Asia has gone up in Christianity, they have been sending missionaries to Asia. But a few years ago i remember thread being put up about Christianity is dying in Europe so Im surprised to see it at 66 percent here.
Why do you suppose Daniel is NOT considered a prophet? The writing is poor history of the Babylonian exile up to 168 BC.. It was written to encourage the Jews who were suffering under Antiochus IV Epiphanes.
No, Daniel spoke of the destruction of the temple and the "cutting off" of the Messiah.
I think Daniel was written in the 3rd or 4th Century AD to encourage the people suffering
under the Romans.
If you look closely you'll see the 66% occurred in 1910. One hundred years later, 2010, the percentage was 25.5. A decrease of 61 %.I agree Asia has gone up in Christianity, they have been sending missionaries to Asia. 3rd or 4th century AD?
Well, maybe 2nd or 3rd Century AD.
You see, we date prophetic writings based upon when the events prophesied actually
happened, not when they were "prophesied." I mean, how could they have known?
So Daniel wrote of the Greek empire, splitting into four. That's Alexander's four
generals carving up his empire after he died. Now, Daniel couldn't have know this,
according to our skeptic friends, so the events described were written after Alexander.
Simple, and that our "proof."
But Daniel, or whoever, wrote of the Empire which would destroy the temple (not
just profane it) and kill even the Messiah. This "proves" Daniel was written after Jesus.
By the same logic, at least.
And Jacob in Egypt spoke of a Jewish nation and monarchy, ending with the Messiah.
So Genesis was written after Jesus, too.
Probably to encourage the early Christians.
