Saving Yourself for Marriage?

That is like 96% of all politicians I think. People should seriously start considering Communist ideology as more beneficial. I am not saying to start a revolution and reconstruct America as a Soviet nation but try to understand what Communism was about so we can build a government that is not split between the people and the government.

Make Bill Clinton king... All problems solved instantly.

I am currently a half Stalinist-Communist/Market Socialist (having gone from the long road since being a Libertarian to Libertarian Socialist to Market Socialist) but not a "leftie", as I'm still Socially Conservative (as you seem to be), or rather I should say an Acts 4 Petrine Communist. We should also have a discussion on this as well!

However, I don't think such a system would be well liked by people who are actively trying to make enough money to impress the ladies/buy the ladies.

Sex is the ultimate goal of the money. When you take that ultimate goal out of the equation, do you really think they're going to seek as much money?

In the words of Tony Montana "In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women."

If you think sex is that important to people, you've got some learning about the world to do...

Ummm, if you think sex is NOT that important to people, YOU have got some learning about the world to do....

You're not being sarcastic are you? If so, I apologize.

No I'm serious. Do some anecdotal research; ask people if they would rather have a billion dollars or the ability to have sex with anyone they want whenever they want.

Wanna start here on RF with a poll on that question?

I actually will do that. I guarantee more people will choose the money. And we'll have a few of the "high and mighty" people be like "Meeeeeh, I wouldn't want either, true love this, virtue that, blah blah blah"

People when faced with survival options will always choose to have the resources available for immediate survival before recreation or procreation. The sex will always follow resources for survival.

So, when shelter, protection from elements, potable water, nutrition, and security measures are seen to, then people tend to start looking for things to do in their down time. I would say sex is one of various social activities human communities tend to in that down time, which I personally categorize as 1) pair-bonding, 2) creating/celebrating, 3) memorializing/mourning.

I can see sex, along with food preparation and presentation, public and private discourse, and coping with the reality of sickness/death to be social activities of choice across cultures.

So, my vote is money will always come first. Especially in our economy that relies of fiat currency as the sole means of procuring resources.

Regardless, the point is that chaste people in charge of government are probably not going to be all Tony Montana in their priorities.

Seriously? I'm starting to resent such comments even though i haven't only been with one person but my experience with others is a drop in the bucket over my lifetime considering the experience I have with one specific person. And I am "experienced in sex".My husband and I aren't really good at just "making enchiladas" .

So, did you not gain some information from having more than one partner in your life that would not have been present had you not have had more then one partner in your life?

The point to my metaphor is sex is different for everyone, they enjoy different things, etc. Having sex with only one partner might make on really great at having sex with that one partner (which, IMO, is usually a much better experience then just having sex once with multiple people, in which there is no personality that can picked over time, a development of craft [as every person is a craft in their own right]), but all that can easily be meaningless with the next partner, if there was one. There be vertical understanding and horizontal understanding. Vertical understanding is great... it's like a mastery, but one needs a very wide foundation if they wish to be building a skyscraper.

With that, experience doesn't really matter at all with sex; it will be picked up regardless. All that matters is that the people who are engaging in intercourse are enjoying themselves.

You gotta admit; it's kinda hard to trust a guy that doesn't like sex...

...Why exactly is that? I'd trust someone with no sexual desire more so then someone with one sexual desire, in which I've seen all kinds of men do incredibly untrustworthy acts at the behest of their partners and others.

Chaste people love money just as much as anyone else does... If anything, the chaste guy will have one less distraction and focus more of his energy on sucking my money up. Or he's a liar and he's fondling little boys when the cameras are off. Either way, I don't trust a chaste government official any more than I do a normal one; maybe even less.
