What is "economically liberal"?Mine fit with my socially libertarian/economically liberal viewpoints.
Ooh, I get to be the only anarcho-socialist! What an honour!

Congratulations! We'll throw a party in your honor with food shoplifted from stores owned by multinational conglomerates.
Ah! Generous with other people's money! It's modern liberalism, which (in opposition to free-market neoconservatism or economic libertarianism) believes in some government redistribution as wealth.

I swing between two opinions at the moment.
The first consists of extreme economic and social libertarianism: allow the people to do as they will, and then regulate business into such a state that it can mete out no harm to the Earth's remaining wild places. Ergo, people have every right under the sun, while businesses are constrained.
My other opinion consists of extreme social Darwinism mingled with the law of the jungle. Fundamental rights? Says who? Any "fundamental rights" you might have are only as true as your ability to defend those rights. Lets the world loose from its societal tyranny and see what happens.
I don't know, perhaps I'm just a closet reactionary. Anyway, I usually ascribe to mild business regulation complete with total, Millian notions of freedom.
I'd like to get a feel for what mix of political types we have here. Would y'all be so kind as to cooperate by voting in this poll? And even if you don't see an option you like, would you instead concisely describe your own political thinking?
Thanks much!
Hugs,
Izzy
My political thinking is that I hate politics. I'm not a member of any party. I have views on topics that are used in politics, but politics in general, in my opinion, are a sham.
I'm sorry, I know that's not what you're looking for, but that's how I feel.

Here's a graphic I did of my place on the political compass for my blog (I'm the blue headband):
