New words for sex

In my opinion there are too few, appropriate, words to describe sex.

To be more specific, they tend to either be too crude: *******, Humping, etc.

Or to intimate: Making love, knowing, etc.

This, for me at least, makes it extremely difficult to talk about sex in a meaningful way. Especially with the girlfriend. I don't want to put to much meaning into it, but I don't want to demean the act either. Thoughts?

Intimacy, Coitus, Lovemaking .... ehh, there aren't many of these clean ones. Most of them are either filthy or stupid or demeaning.
