Now let me get this straight......there were two lots of humans created separately....one pair on the 6th day and one on the 7th?
In Genesis ch1 the "male and female" were humans who were told to fill the earth and subdue it...correct?
And in Genesis ch 2 it begins....
"Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. 3 So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation."
So from this it appears that God had finished his creating on the 6th day and rested on the 7th. There is no creating on the 7th day.....can you read what I am reading?
It goes on to say.....
"4 These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens."
Lets explore these words a little.....what are the "generations" mentioned here? The word in Hebrew is
"towlĕdah" which means....
"descendants, results, proceedings, generations, genealogies
- account of men and their descendants
- genealogical list of one's descendants
- one's contemporaries
- course of history (of creation etc) (Strongs Concordance)
So we have "the course of history" recounted in ch 2 relating to humans....this is not a new creation account.
It also says that the entire history of the world and everything on it was created in a "day". This compresses all six days of creation into one "day" proving that the word "day" in Hebrew (
"yowm") isn't just a 24 hour period. It can also mean an unspecified "time, period (general)"
You have skewed this account all out of shape and made it a nonsense. The humans that were created on the 6th day were Adam and his wife.
In Genesis 5:1-2 it says
"This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. 2 Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created."
This is describing the creation of man in Genesis ch 1....."made in God's image".
If Adam and Eve were not the first humans then why did Adam call his wife "Eve"
Genesis 3:20...
"The man called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living."
Your interpretation does not hold water....sorry. Adam and Eve were the progenitors of the human race.
Are you not a man? Your version is a man's teachings that do not line up with scripture.
Please think about that.
No, it does not, and no amount of arguing will make Genesis say what it does not.
Then perhaps he is condemning yours because you are the one twisting what it says.
The 7th day is God's rest day. There was NO creating done on the 7th day....do you understand that this is what the scriptures say. Your version of events has God creating on the 7th day.
Do you know how many creatures were brought to Adam for him to name them?
"Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. 20 The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him." (Genesis 3:19-20)
If it took less than 24 hours to accomplish that before God created a mate for Adam, how could he say
"This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man" (
Genesis 3:19-23)
Just read Genesis and stop trying to add to what is written.[/QUOTE
First of all Here's what you said, "Now let me get this straight.... There were two lots of humans created separately....One pair on the 6th day and one on the 7th day"
As to where do you get, " one on the 7th day"
I said after the 7th day had pass.being the next day, After the 7th day.
Do you even understand what the word (after) means.
it seems your having difficulty of understanding what the word (after ) means?
It means that After,After, After the 7th day had pass.
that on the next day After the 7th day had pass then God created other humans.
When I say there were those created after the 7th day had pass.
It means they were not created on the 7th day, But After the 7th day had pass. Which is on the next day following the 7th day.
That on the 6th day, God created humans and then on the 7th day God rested.
And then the very next day (After) the 7th day had pass, Then God created other humans, which are Adam and Eve.
Look there are these two people that are Neighbors and they both have land, So they put a fence to show who's land belongs to who.
So the fence is the dividing line between the two lands.
So in likewise the 7th day is the dividing line between those who were created on the 6th day and those who were created After the 7th day had pass.
Notice the word ( After ) which means, After the 7th day had pass, That on the very next day After the 7th day had pass, God created other humans
So is the 7th day, is the dividing line between the humans that were created on the 6th day and those humans that were on the other side After the 7th day had pass.
Look God created humans on the 6th day
Then on the 7th day God rested.
And then After the 7th day had pass, That on the very next day, After the 7th day had pass, That on the next day God created other humans.which are Adam and Eve.
On the 6th day God created humans.
Then God rested on the 7th day.
Then on the next day After the 7th day, God created other humans.
If I was to ask you what day follows Friday, it would be Saturday, then what day follows Saturday, that would be Sunday.
So those humans created on the 6th day.
Is what we call Friday.
God rested on the 7th day, which we call Saturday.
Then on the next day following the 7th day, would be Sunday. So it would be on Sunday that God created other humans. Which was Adam and Eve.
