So some ******* was trying to sneak out without paying for something and responded violently when confronted. Hopefully he is punished to the full extent of the law.

That you posted this "to see where the discussion goes" suggests that you believe there is more to it than what is detailed in the article. Watching the video, the assailant is a black man and the victim is an elderly Sikh, but the article doesn't mention any verbal exchange that would suggest race or religion was a relevant factor. So what's the take away?

Just another jerk being a jerk. Glad he was caught and will be punished per the law.


As others have pointed out, many of the headlines/stories in the OP link are quite disturbing for their range of human sadism. :(

On a brighter note, when thinking of shoplifters, I always liked this story. ;)
