I didn't watch the video.
Nalanda was a center of liberal and religious academia for hundreds of years, both the Jain Mahavira and Siddhartha later known as the founder of Buddhism visited Nalanda, and it did become an active university for Buddhist study up until it was destroyed by the Muslim Turk invader Bakhtiyar Khilji in the late 1190s and early 1200s CE when the extensive library of ancient manuscripts dating back more than 1000 years even at that time was burned and thousands of Buddhist monks were beheaded, though some also set themself on fire in protest.
The burning of manuscripts and beheadings went on for months by the Muslim invaders, the destruction was massive so any evidence of Jesus would likely have been destroyed if indeed Nalanda was visited by Jesus.
Visitors from far away as China came to visit Nalanda. I have not seen convincing evidence that Jesus did so. However, many assume Jesus a poor person because he is said to be a carpenter. My view is he was not poor at all and was of royal blood. But I could be wrong, it isn't my realm of expertise. However, such errors in history are common, for example there are some Buddhists a century ago who believed the Buddha was poor, but my opinion is he was rich and also of royal blood like Jesus. Depictions of Buddha's hairstyle I believe reflect the actual haircut/style he had and maintained all his life despite his renunciations, only the rich could afford such a hair style.
History has many discoveries in it's past, that in time may come to light. There is never a dull moment. I once read some compelling study that Mary travelled to retire in Egypt after Jesus, I do not recall the details but it seemed compelling. Many underestimate the technology and travel ability of humans in the "ancient times". I have been reading a book "Mona Lisa Revealed" and what struck me as it described the daily life of society both rich and poor in Italy at that time was just how advanced they really were, that humans have been great minds and travelers for a long, long time and also I felt that, while they didn't have cellphones they were exactly like so many of us today.
