    Lord Krishna is dark, as his names like Krishna and Syama imply, but he is closer to a bluish hue (the one you see in the sky) than actually blackish. The Bhagavatam calls Krishna as dark in 3.28.13. The Vishnu Purana has a story about how Mahavishnu took two hairs, one black and one white, and from them Lord Krishna (black) and Lord Balarama (white).

    thanks for the fuzzbal. that particular "conversation" merits a bath followed by a sauna, followed by a thorough scrubbing with an abrasive and the use of eye bleach, the FDA has decided that brain bleach is not safe for human use just yet. probably a liberal conspiracy, too.

    It has begun. My love of pre-Islamic theology has arrived in Blog format finally :D. I intend on dissecting Islam and Semitic mythology to recover as much of an old gem as I can while reforming it into modern though as well :D
