  • Lord Krishna is dark, as his names like Krishna and Syama imply, but he is closer to a bluish hue (the one you see in the sky) than actually blackish. The Bhagavatam calls Krishna as dark in 3.28.13. The Vishnu Purana has a story about how Mahavishnu took two hairs, one black and one white, and from them Lord Krishna (black) and Lord Balarama (white).
Also, how many verses do you need? They are all mixed up in my long collection of important verses.
Sorry, I'm just trying to compile all the references there are of Krishna being dark. I have about 20 already.
Hey, do you just want me to PM you the references where Krishna is shown as dark skinned?
You are a great Sadhaka. May Trailinga Swami bless you. May you live long and one day see Ganga Maa and Varanasi Kashi. May you drink buckets of buffalo milk. May you eat honey gathered by bees who visit sacred hills and have sadhaka honey.
thanks for the fuzzbal. that particular "conversation" merits a bath followed by a sauna, followed by a thorough scrubbing with an abrasive and the use of eye bleach, the FDA has decided that brain bleach is not safe for human use just yet. probably a liberal conspiracy, too.
    al-Rabu'bay Wathaniyya

It has begun. My love of pre-Islamic theology has arrived in Blog format finally :D. I intend on dissecting Islam and Semitic mythology to recover as much of an old gem as I can while reforming it into modern though as well :D
