Seems that the an agreement between the Minneapolis Teachers Union and the Minneapolis Public Schools which stipulates that White teachers will be laid off before teachers of color, regardless of their seniority has been reached.
Something tells me that this is headed to court since it appears that it violates the Civil Rights Act, as well as the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution according to the below article on the agreement.
Teachers union agreement stipulating White teachers be laid off first criticized: 'Constitutionally suspect'
    For you Fox News doubters
Minneapolis teachers union contract would lay off white teachers first

Yup, looks like they want to collect your data for marketing and are unwilling to accept Europeean rulings on data security.

I've noticed this happen before. It seems websites from local TV stations in the U.S. can't be accessed in Europe. I never could understand that.

I agree school districts should diversify staff. I'm not sure if this is the best way to do it.

As usual, there is only a controversial headline, and no actual information to explain it. Stirring up the animosity while keeping the eyes on the ads.

It all starts in college admissions. Sadly, schools (and churches, and neighborhoods) are still in large part segregated.

You'd have to read the article, not just the headline.

Nothing in the artical that explains the decision, or who made it, or why. It's all just, "oh look how stupid this is!"

I believe it's because there is such a huge market for data, it commands a good price from advertisers and marketers or targeted ads.

I think the biggest scoop was back in the 90s. An internet marketer sold his database at just the right time, before the internet bubble burst. Website names were selling for $thousands and verified email address were hot property

As i remember the database contained somewhere around 1.8 million qualified names, email address and IP addresses. The price $8 million.

Now the price is much much less but marketing companies will still pay.

Ever wonder how "expess viagra" and "bank foreclosure properties" spam got your email address or how ads pop up that coincidentally are for precisely what you looked at on a tv website just a few days ago?

European law does not allow the sale of personal data without consent
