I'm thinking of opening a high priced avant garde art gallery
selling the cutting edge primitive works of Revolti.
He must be great....only one name, & it sounds vaguely Italian.

You could portray Mr.Green Barn as WW2 hangar, say it's seen so much, and I'll come guard it for you so your paying customers don't vandalise the antique.

Hold on, this isn't in the jokes section. Is the title a joke then?
I'm not really seeing how this could be a good thing.

Just think about how to apply this to politics. Oh wait, that's been done already.

Ah, I see. I was a little confused there for a second. Although I might be inclined to agree if I was the one selling the shoes.;)

Actually, I got this thread confused with another.
No, this is really a current event.
Payless played this practical joke for advertising publicity.

Great! Now I'm confused again!

Although upon reading the link again, the suckers did get their money back, so I guess this thread has the much acclaimed
    Woberts Seal Of Approval.

It's been done, by several people. One guy even insulted his patrons as part of the shtick. He hired art students at minimum wage to paint his painting for him, and then sold them at exorbitant prices while verbally insulting the buyers. In New York in the 80's this is what was touted as really smart, original art activity.

The 1980's is when the U.S. really went off the skids.
