Does anyone have any experience of this? I am thinking of buying an older used boat, probably something with a GRP hull.
How do you test a hull for osmosis? What are the signs, assuming there are no obvious blisters or damage to the gel coat?
And if a GRP hull has got osmosis, is it a big deal...
Santa deliver presents to billions of people in a very short period of time, so wouldn't it make sense for there to be billions of Santas? And would all those Santas be clones, or part of a hive mind?
And if there is only one Santa, how on earth does he make all those deliveries? Some sort...
An interesting overview of philosophical and scientific thinking on this question.
Some notes on what is covered:
- Being conscious is the only way we know we exist;
- It is generally agreed that consciousness arises in the brain;
- The brain uses 20% of the energy use but is only 2% of our...

The rules are secret too. I reserve the right to evade your questions vigorously and have you very closely monitored, including the use of full surveillance, invasive body searches and various other violations of your so-called rights. Pah! I am happy to reveal all but MI5 are rather fussy.

Fat pasty men in speedos gets my vote. People generally actually, they are so noisy and messy. Dogs are OK provided they clear up after themselves.
How about you?
SUNNA SUTTA:
"Insofar as it is empty of a self or of anything pertaining to a self: Thus it is said, Ananda, that the world is empty. And what is empty of a self or of anything pertaining to a self? The eye is empty of a self or of anything pertaining to a self. Forms... Eye-consciousness...
An extract from the introduction to "In the Buddhas words":
"The Buddha classifies the constituents of body and mind into five categories known as “the five aggregates subject to clinging” (pañc’upādānakkhandhā): form, feeling, perception, volitional formations, and consciousness (for details...
I came across the Vipallasa Sutta again, it's looks like a variation on the 3 marks.
"Monks, there are these four perversions of perception, perversions of mind, perversions of view. Which four? 'Constant' with regard to the inconstant is a perversion of perception, a perversion of mind, a...
