Why no meat:
1) I prefer to minimize hurting other souls
2) No meat is better for the world
3) Meat is bad for my health
Atheist and fairly recent vegetarian/vegan here. I have an ethical problem with killing animals to satisfy our taste buds. My ethics are non-theistic and rooted in harm reduction.

Sincerely ?I don't like the taste, texture of meat. The way I see it folks usually have to add a lot of seasonings, sauces to make meat palatable. I like vegetables..

There's not much to explain.
Don't believe in gods, and I eat meat. That makes me a non-vegetarian atheist.
