Hey there! I'm Sigurd.
Been born and raised as Christian. Over the past few years, I've come to terms with my faith and have found that Christianity left more questions than I've seen varifiable answers, so I became agnostic for a while. Looked into other faiths past and present and how they relate to life now, but no religious path really seems compelling or convincing to me at this point. That said, I do enjoy discussing religion and the beliefs of others, and I like being challenged with view points I may not understand or even like.
As for my own current beliefs, I would say technically that I am an agnostic atheist. I would like to think of myself as open minded, so my beliefs are subject to change if something better comes along while still satisfying my skeptical mindset. I value intellectual honesty and repeatable accuracy over "truth," as the concept of truth is skewed by personal perception and bias. Reducing our understanding of the world and our existence to a final statement should best be avoided, I feel.
Anyways; been lurking in the shadows for a while now, so I think I'll step into the light for a bit and engage in the discussions at hand. Hope to see you folks around!
