Hello friend! You sound just like me. I don't have a specific religion, nor do I think I need one. I follow the most ancient form of belief, Animism. This is because I believe that the older the belief is, the more closer it also is to the connection of all things. Animism is about a connection with nature and the energy in all things. There is not really any specific goal to achieve enlightenment, but rather more of a way of living in the world. A realization that we are already enlightened, we only need to search from within. I believe the spirit world is real and exists, but I don't believe in the concept of God. To me, what could be called "God" is existence itself. I worship existence which is the ALL in ALL. You seem to have already discovered that enlightened part of you that drives you to seek out truth. Don't just search for it in books. That truth you seek is already within you and all around you. I know you see "God" already, maybe you don't recognize it. It is existence.
There are many ways and many paths to find that connection with "God". My way might not be right for you, but it is one option among many. You are already on the right path though, that is for certain.

I understood your point from the get-go and did not take offense to anything at all. Infact, I thought that it was quite funny that you made that remark and not Drs because I had thought that he said that part about spitting in the face of idols..lol. I agree with you 100%, brother. You made a beautiful point in that thread about you worshipping existence itself, which really made me think and contemplate on some of the idols which I may have lying in my closet...
Yes, I agree. We don't understand what we have right here in the now, and thus look for our heaven in an unknown location to be navigated after death, which is a shame. We miss the beauty of life and believe that true beauty will only be met after death, which clouds our perception of the beauty which is before our eyes in this life...
    Friend Runewolf,
There is no doubt that you are there but this time the mind just bubbled and you have nipped it at the bud.
Now, Painter, go and be the painting and in that silence we are all one.

    Friend Runewolf,
Do not know what to say and how to say this.
One has to become a part of life itself.
When one is a part of life then each moment is different, each moment is unique and each moments has its challenges which is always new, mysterious and being a part of this hole is such a joy that one finds himself in the garden of eden.
There are no words here, forget words like *BORED* Its total silence where one is so engaged at all time that such moments are never there.
The only way one can be *bored* is by being in the mind and in mind is nothing but thoughts.
The mind easily misleads one to such places where the mind appears still and so only way to know is meditaton, going down to the level of awareness where one watches his own breathing.

    Friend Runewolf1973,
Personally take the MINd as the SATAN of Bible which is also represented by the serpent which also represent the kundalini sakti in India. Satan the mind always makes man to THINK and in thinking man goes away from God and his garden of Eden. Except humans everything is in harmony in the garden of eden because man has a developed mind which thinks. It only requires man to STILL the MIND to be in harmony with existence/god/etc.

    Friend Runewolf1973,
Am sure you have read the response to your coin analogy.
Without much ado, kindly read whatever you can on Buddhism and ZEN in particular as you will find more answers therein. Few are available on the net as e-books on the subject.
    Happy hunting.

I am NEW - to a lot of things. I would like to ask ?'s, learn and understand more about myself. There is so much to tell but not a starting point to concentrate on. "Something" is going on in me but I do not have the knowledge to pin point what it is. Can you help me?
Enjoying your enlightenment thread very much.

Love the way you keep using "Source" and "All".

I call my Self a "Sourceress"
Phoenetically "Source-heiress" or Heiress of Source.

Majik is what I usually use as my "religion label",
    but up until just yesterday,
I had been using "Pan" or ("All")
(because I was having fun with the whole Pirate thing)

    Anyway, you seem very sympatico...
and I wanted to suggest something to you.

Perhaps your stuffed gold fish is still speaking to you.
(I will happily share more of this notion with you if you are interested)

When I had my epiphany all of creation spoke in such a way,
that it was a major lesson to me...
and while my current state is not nearly so "lifted"
I still know how to "Read" life signs.

    Know what I mean?

Happy to chat anytime, and welcome to RF.

    ~Violet~
