I occasionally eat them with saltines.Different shaped can, but yes.
And so much better than sardines.
(Which I still eat...in Louisiana hot sauce.)
Most of the ones available in Australia are from Canada. I was a little surprised, I thought it was an English thing and thought they would be from somewhere in Great Britain.Up here in Canuckistan, kippers are more generally Brunswick Kippered Snacks (packed in New Brunswick). I quite fond of them. And goodness they are inexpensive -- great value for money.
Baked beans with a baked potato is a regular part of my diet. With lots of hotsauce.I've had this thing sitting in my cupboard for months:
And today was finally the day.
Beans.
On.
Toast.
My life is complete now.
.Chicken of the Sea?Different shaped can, but yes.

Yeah, I was surprised at how amazing it was. Granted, I was using really good bread, but normally when I crack open a can of beans for eats I can only eat half the can? Nah, man, I inhaled the entire thing in one go toast and all.
The downside of all this is American grocery stores don't carry the proper beans. Because American grocery stores are stupid and stocked full of stuff that is barely even actual food. I got this can at a specialty store and it was stupid expensive because it's import here.
WHY NO TOMATO BAKED BEANS IN AMERICAN GROCERY STORES REEEEEEEEE!
The only Heinz products I ever see in stores are ketchup related. And no Heinz beans at Safeway. I don't know why we don't have them. Maybe Van Kamp's and Bush's was too much competition for them.
Bush's "Steakhouse Recipe Grillin' Beans" are superior.Yeah, I was surprised at how amazing it was. Granted, I was using really good bread, but normally when I crack open a can of beans for eats I can only eat half the can? Nah, man, I inhaled the entire thing in one go toast and all.

I've had beans
I've had toast
but never together
and I'm not sure I ever will
Even for simple beans, such as pinto or black beans, I have noticed that Bush's is superior in quality. That does not stop me from making them even a bit better.Bush's "Steakhouse Recipe Grillin' Beans" are superior.
Nah....too much tuna...too little dolphin..Chicken of the Sea?
Yes, the bread makes a difference.
There is a family in the area - refugees from the Ukraine war - that does breads and other baked goods at the farmer's market. I've been buying their stuff all season and finally got around to their plain old breads? They're as amazing as everything else, but like all good breads the go a bit stale after a couple days. Toasted, with them beans?
Yaaas.
It's exactly the sort of bread that keeps the crunch.
Long time since shopped in the UK?! Heinz is typically £1.40.In the UK I'd but tins of beans for about 25p
Huh? You mean apart from the Full English, the traditional breakfast? So much so it has a wiki entry!Baked beans in tomato sauce is a children's thing really.
I agree.Hot take incoming.
Brantston beans are superior to Heinz.

"While it is colloquially known as a "fry-up" in most areas of the United Kingdom and Ireland, it is usually referred to as a "full English" "
