Because of man's changing climate, God will destroy the earth by fire?
Revelation 11:18
Perhaps, planning to give us new homes, and bodies. Why NOT take it that way ?Because of man's changing climate, God will destroy the earth by fire?

God doesn't destroy the earth, mankind does. They destroy the earth that sustains them.I don't know. It sounds surreal to even think it. Do you mean he'd come from the sky and throw fire to consume the earth (honestly asking?)
It supposedly happened before with Atlantis. Except that time it involved a subduction of tectonic plates and a deluge, or collapse and the waters rushed inWhy bother?
Yeah, God (edit: or his worshipers) will do many horrible things to make you worship him.Because of man's changing climate, God will destroy the earth by fire? Revelation 11:18

People prefer to imagine gods who bother with us.
All the creating, loving, smiting, & micro-managing.
But global fire seems more likely the result of a
big meteor heading our way....astronomy, not gods.
How would anyone know that?Close mate, but it's not a big meteor.
true but the same book refers to destroying a third of the earth.First of all, that Scripture - Revelation 11:18 - says that God will ‘destroy those that destroy the Earth.’
Not the planet Earth, itself.
Here’s a thread that touches on what fire can mean sometimes, in Scripture....
