Agreed. He could have said some things, I suppose, about understanding people's uncertainty, the need to keep in mind the evidence is most people have nothing to fear from it, the capacity of the country's intellect and resources to manage it, and the need for every citizen to do his or her bit....I agree it was an emotionally based question presented by the reporter with no real 'meat' in how it was asked.
I don't think Trump should have responded that way by saying he was a bad reporter outright, I think it would have been better served for Trump to suggest to have people redirect their fear into affirmative action and doing their part to help get through this. A lot like people did in World War II although it's not a hostile enemy that we are combating, but rather a hostile virus.
....just wouldn't sound much like Trump, I guess....
