Buddha an Israeli? You do know he was from India?
Buddha is a Sanskrit word meaning enlighten being, someone who has understood the full truth to their level of enlightenment. So there are many Buddhas, the historical Buddha Sakyamuni was only one of them :)
Do you know The ancient Egyptian language is in Australia
Do you think it is impossible

Yes in my understanding there is countless Gods, Buddhas and Daos
... Each a different manifestation of the "godhead". It's just a matter of conceptual perspective: where we choose to designate one divine manifestation from another. When "God" troubled the waters, we called it "Neptune". When God troubled the volcano, we called it "Hephaestus". When God troubled the sky we called it "Zeus". When God troubled the winds we called it "Aeolus". On and on it went; gods of fertility, gods of war, gods of wisdom, gods of wealth, ... All the same God, just manifesting in endless ways, to us, and we naming and relating to each manifestation differently.

I struggle to understand those who believe there is only one God. I see it as natural that there are many Gods, Buddhas, and Daos in other dimensions. Just like there are many human beings on earth.

What is your thought about this?

All those Gods.
What do they look up to.
Who do they revere?

That would ultimately be God.

I don't attribute anything to it, because I do not know the full truth about what God truly is. But I understand it has to be more than one being outside of our own realm. My understanding of God does not reach up to what God truly is. so for me to say I think God is this or that would be wrong. So my words do not describe God, it only reflect my understanding
Thanks for the thoughtful reply.
I can understand now what you are saying and how can you believe in more than one god. Makes sense.

I only follow the teaching of Li Hongzhi, so even I believe there are many enlighten beings in other realms I do not follow their teaching :)

  • The following list of God's/gods' attributes is one of many that can be found on-line today. Feel free to amend the list if you know of or come across more, or consolidate those attributes which you are convinced are sufficiently similar..
    • Eternal
    • Good
    • Charitable
    • Merciful
    • Holy
    • Immanent
    • Immutable
    • Just
    • Loving
    • Self-existent
    • Sovereign
    • Transcendent
    • Righteous
    • Omnipotent
    • Omniscient
    • Omnipresent
  • IMO, a good number of those attributes are not mutually exclusive: e.g.
    • Some entity could be eternal, transcendent, and sovereign;
    • Some entity could be holy, merciful, and righteous;
    • Some entity could be self-existent, omnipotent, and omniscient;
    • etc.
  • It seems to me that being omnipresent puts the brakes on the number of entities that can have some other attribute and be omnipresent, no?
  • So, IMO, multiple gods could, theoretically, have any number of the attributes, ... except omnipresence. Only one Supreme God can be omnipresent, ... or am I missing something? .
I cannot disagree with the omnipresent concept.
But I also see omnipotence as exclusive. If two had unlimited power, then that power could be used to destroy each other. Or worse, one destroy the other.
Then the destroyed one (or two) could not have been omnipotent. Who knows? Being an omni, is way above my ability.

I see it as the rays of the Sun. One Sun many rays.

Also White light, is many colours only when refracted and interpreted by vision seen by a finite mind.

Because their can be only one biggest, strongest, tallest, etc.
Yes.

I suppose us polytheists don't tend to turn deification into some sort of wang measuring contest. One doesn't need be the apex of something to be worthy of worship (aka, a deity). I'll confess that sort of competitive, hierarchical thinking has always bothered me. No surprise I have a hard time processing it's prevalence in monotheist theologies.

It's like cloud algebra where 1 plus 1 equals 1. If you have an omnipotent God, how many do you need? If you had two omnipotent God's, then they would really just be the same God since omnipotence requires equality of mind and knowledge. It's alpha and omega NOT alpha through theta plus iota through omega.

"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." Revelation 22:13

God vs god. You follow the latter.
