There are several confusing references to the Lilith in the Christian Bibles; from being a specific female,(a proper name) a specific kind of female (not a proper name), to kinds of females.(more than one that carry a proper name).
And many, many Bibles don't bother to mention the name/word at all.
Not that this is important to Christian theology---at least I don't think it is---but one would think there would be a far better consensus as to what the writer of Isaiah, whom ever he was, was talking about.
So what's going on? Is the passage that mentions Lilith simply not important enough to get right? That when god gave Isaiah 34:14 to man he simply didn't care enough: "Mention her/them/it if you like . . . or not"?
Is Isaiah 34:14 simply filler?
That 2Timothy 3:16
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
is just so much hooey?
