Everyone has a religion

I know its hard to believe, but there are many people who dont believe a one single religious cause to the universe.

They are few and in between; but, your OP isnt correct. There are people who love hamburgers and people who dont and people who havent even heard of the word to begin with.

Religion is not different in this logic.
I mostly agree, except that I doubt that cosmological anxieties are quite so prevalent as the urban legend says.

It's the religious position that something came from nothing.
It's not even every religion. Like you noted, the history of the universe could just be circular.

But kicking the can up the hill leads us to the first event which by definition cannot
have a cause - this is the Super Miracle.
But if history is circular, you don't need a First Cause. The end of one thing segues into the next thing. Even the usual Biblical God, Yahweh, is the Son or Son-in-law of El, who Himself was Son of Earth and Sky. Just plopping down at an arbitrary point in the story doesn't prove that nothing came before it.

Is there really such a thing as atheism?
Everyone has a religion of some sort.
We all come up with some idea of how it all started
and how it will all end.
We all seek a purpose and meaning for our lives.

And at the beginning there was a Miracle. Either the miracle is God's
or we think the universe created itself out of nothing and for no reason
whatsoever. The latter is the real miracle - a creation without space,
or time, or matter or energy, or physical laws or even mathematics,
bursting forth in the ultimate act of pointlessness.
Religions are doctrines of men.

Meaning isn’t necessary.

Science states that all events have a natural cause.
But kicking the can up the hill leads us to the first event which by definition cannot
have a cause - this is the Super Miracle.

Please give a link to a modern physics (the relevant science) book that says every event has a cause.

Apparently so since many claim it.

Everyone has a religion of some sort.

Only if you believe the likes of Peterson, or Gray, or any others who seem to claim that atheism is just another religious belief - perversely.

We all come up with some idea of how it all started
and how it will all end.

Not necessarily - some of us see it as a fruitless task - judging by all the different accounts from minds immensely better than ours - or at least, mine - and choosing one might be a bit pointless - like choosing a particular religion.

We all seek a purpose and meaning for our lives.

Again, not necessarily - we often have purpose and meaning imposed on our lives by circumstances. Some indeed do seek such, whether through religion or not. Are they any happier or more likely to be correct? I doubt it, and re-running their lives might produce an entirely different outcome.

Well, some of us can live with not knowing. Perhaps we are a bit more grown up than others?

So, just what is this first event, and how do you know it is the first event?

Yes
Atheism : The disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods.
Nothing more, nothing less, anything else is misrepresentation.

Everyone has a religion of some sort.

I never gave you permission to dictate my mind

And at the beginning there was a Miracle. Either the miracle is God's
or we think the universe created itself out of nothing and for no reason whatsoever.

Can i rewrite that from the perspective of reality

And at the beginning there was a Miracle. Either the miracle was god magic or natural processes created the universe, possibly out of nothing (* see below), possibly by some other cause including spawning from an existing universe, colliding quantum membranes etc.

"for no reason whatsoever", ask the universe if it cares.

You lack of understanding apparently means fill the gaps with god.

Yes, it means "not believing in any God or gods." That describes me perfectly, and therefore, since I exist, atheism exists.
Everyone has a religion of some sort.
Totally incorrect. I have none, and since I'm someone, not "everyone" can possibly be included in your statement.
We all come up with some idea of how it all started and how it will all end.
Most people question those things, and many think they have answers. Some answers are better thought out than other, and let me suggest that the several hypotheses proposed by science, while not as seemingly "complete" as the religious ones, are a whole lot more firmly grounded in what is known. To make that point clearer, consider the various creation myths of multiple religions through human history, and try to decide which is more likely to be "factually correct." I do not think that you will find (other than by reason of your personal belief) that your religion's creation myth is particularly better or more reasonable than any other.
We all seek a purpose and meaning for our lives.
But if you insist on looking for purpose and meaning for your life from outside of your life, then that purpose and meaning will NOT be yours. And insofar as you cannot actually know anything about your God's, or anybody else's gods', purposes, then you can never find out what that presumed purpose is, or what it means.

If you are looking for purpose and meaning, find your own. https://www.religiousforums.com/threads/purpose.210588/page-4#post-5702752

No it doesn't. The "laws" of causality did not even exist until after the the beginning of the universe

Ehm... Kicking the can is an event

So they say. That said, I've yet to meet anyone who actually disbelieves in all god-concepts throughout human history and across all cultures given this would include disbelieving in literally everything.
If someone calls the sun "god", I don't have to say I don't believe in "the sun" in order to say I don't believe that the sun qualifies as a god.

In my opinion, someone pointing to something like that and saying "everyone believes" is an even more disingenuous/dishonest method of trying to cast everyone as "believers" than the classic monotheistic statements along the lines of "everyone believes in my God, they're just in denial."

Is there really such a thing as atheism?

Yes. Any thought, word or deed performed without consideration to deity is atheistic by nature. Brushing your teeth is a good example. Most people do not consider divine input when brushing their teeth, thus it is atheistic.

An atheist (especially when the label is self-applied) is someone who takes this approach to a majority of their life either actively or passively at their own discretion (this varies wildly from atheist to atheist). Many even go so far as to discuss it publicly on forums like this. One has only to read any thread on RF to receive objective empirical evidence of atheism.

Everyone has a religion of some sort.

Nonsense. The word means that which you have reverence for. It's a catch-all (however successful it is) designed to ignore the details of any particular religion. There are people who are strictly irreverant towards things held in reverence by others. They, at least, have no religion being that their philosophy is the antithesis of it.

Also, I find it generally rude to apply labels to people who patently reject them. If someone tells me they have no religion, I just take their word for it. What difference would it make anyway?

We all come up with some idea of how it all started
and how it will all end.

It all started when I was about 4 years old. There is no end in sight.

That would be my earliest memory. Everything before is hearsay. I believe it at my own discretion.

We all seek a purpose and meaning for our lives.

Except those that have found it. No, not me.

And at the beginning there was a Miracle. Either the miracle is God's
or we think the universe created itself out of nothing and for no reason
whatsoever.

I don't even have to pick! Boxes are only in your imagination. You can climb in them all day but it's hard to cram others into them.

The latter is the real miracle - a creation without space,
or time, or matter or energy, or physical laws or even mathematics,
bursting forth in the ultimate act of pointlessness.

Mathematics didn't exist unil well after humans. We made that stuff up. It works, but so does English and we made that up, too. Think about it...

Beside the point, naturally.

Everything that is part of the universe may very well have been here before it just may not have been combined the way it is now.

You really shouldn't let why cloud how, is my advice.
