It certainly makes a liar out of the Bible.Lead to a nursery rhyme, "The animals went in two by two"
Hurrah, hurrah
. . . what did it accomplish?
From the way things went afterwards---sin still remaining high on the lists of a lot of people, and rampant throughout the world---it seems to me the whole operation was a waste of life, good water, and gopher wood.
.
It served to salvage humanity from complete corruption and evil of the day, giving the descendants of Noah further opportunity to acknowledge and live in a right way before God and it is through the line of Noah that Jesus Christ the Savior came to the earth.. . . what did it accomplish?

Well, rainbows are kind of nice.. . . what did it accomplish?
In as much as the vast majority (over two-thirds) of the "descendants of Noah" are not Christian, it certainly doesn't speak well of god's salvage plan at all. (Only 31.5% of the world's population is Christian)It served to salvage humanity from complete corruption and evil of the day, giving the descendants of Noah further opportunity to acknowledge and live in a right way before God and it is through line of Noah that Jesus Christ the Savior came to the earth.
Yeah, wasn't it nice of god to change the laws of physics just so he could tell us he made a covenant with the earth and its life.Well, rainbows are kind of nice.
Not really implying anything except what the scriptures reveal concerning the evil condition of mankind before the flood, the deliverance of Noah and his family the ancestors of the nation of Israel and the foretold Messiah. Although salvation is offered to all, I don't think numbers are necessarily what God is after, rather those who desire His love, truth, and light...In as much as the vast majority (over two-thirds) of the "descendants of Noah" are not Christian, it certainly doesn't speak well of god's salvage plan at all. Are you implying that god was incapable of sending Jesus Christ the Savior down to the world if the flood never took place?
.
zero scientific evidence of any great floods happening. We are talking lockness monster no sense here. Total. Mythogy...... Uh ooooops.. . . what did it accomplish?

Which was ignoring nature. Oh look nothing has changed starting in religion nonsense. Never mind the below is not the entire globe in one afternoon my bad.... So you were saying in fantasy state? It served to salvage humanity from complete corruption and evil of the day, giving the descendants of Noah further opportunity to acknowledge and live in a right way before God and it is through the line of Noah that Jesus Christ the Savior came to the earth.
Well the past does impact the future and yes it is interconnected but a kind of Martian science fiction account doesn't really help much. I appreciate your love of Jesus though to a point anyway! Not really implying anything except what the scriptures reveal concerning the evil condition of mankind before the flood, the deliverance of Noah and his family the ancestors of the nation of Israel and the foretold Messiah. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”(John 3:16-21).
It does not say rainbows did not exist before the flood ever!!! Bad science fiction!Well, rainbows are kind of nice.
...a hybrid race, fathered by "the sons of the gods" upon human females is mentioned just prior to the Flood event. These beings, as depicted in the book of Genesis were "wicked" and violent, they ate flesh (which was forbidden before the Deluge), fathered a race of giants, and had corrupted the whole earth with violence.
Bingo. What was the point? However, a hybrid race, fathered by "the sons of the gods" upon human females is mentioned just prior to the Flood event. These beings, as depicted in the book of Genesis were "wicked" and violent, they ate flesh (which was forbidden before the Deluge), fathered a race of giants, and had corrupted the whole earth with violence.
Jesus considered the recorded biblical history and OT accounts reliable and accurate without apology or embarrassment, including the account of the Flood as fact and a picture or type of His return...Well the past does impact the future and yes it is interconnected but a kind of Martian science fiction account doesn't really help much. For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Matt. 24:27-39
I love Jesus.... I also believe Him.
You beat me to it. I have heard that the reason for the flood was to wipe out these Angel , human hybrids.
But that being said, Genesis six alludes to this happening after the flood as well. Sort of resembles the stories of Greek gods mating with human women and producing children. I wonder if there is a connection?
