not possible in my opinion archer.
our bodies have not evolved for space travel, we dont have the means to travel far enough away even if we possessed vehicles that could obtain light speed. WE cant get far enough away from this rock to explore properly, or find much if anything.
now imagine a race of beings that have evolved for millions of years in space, realizing planetary life is dangerous for life in the long run.
getting off this rock is the big picture for long term survival of any species
Imagine. That is the problem in my opinion. We must consider many things when we consider this. Considering the trillions of planets and even the uncountable number of galaxies out there finding our tiny rock is a statistical outlier and then consider evolutionary windows. Almost all species (all but perhaps ~10 on our planet have become fully self realizing) die off before ever achieving sentience, we know this from observation. All but one of these species have expired (other hominids).
Considering it took over one billion years for a fluke to happen and then us I would say fully sentient self realizing life in the multiverse is extremely rare and we could be it. There could have been others and there may be more in the future but it is a statistical outlier.
The type of planet can and will dictate the type of life that can evolve and also consider time-frames and windows of evolutionary opportunity.
My opinion is the opposite of yours but neither of us is really wrong
that is the nice thing about opinions backed by facts.
IMHO we are more likely to find lower life forms and never see any other self realizing life in our evolutionary window.
