Because she has only been diagnosed with autism just a few weeks, not much has been done. she got diagnosed because of obvious visual symtoms as mentioned.
Jenny is gonna start seeing a special dietician soon hopefully. :)

Our son had horrible GI problems when he was first diagnosed. We took him to a pediatric GI specialist and a colonoscopy revealed GI lesions for no apparent reason (at 18 months old, btw). He would not eat protein, wasn't gaining weight and had almost no muscle tone.
After some research, we switched to a GF diet and started him on methyl-B12 and all of his GI symptoms resolved in a single week. It was amazing. And his autistic behaviors began noticeably improving almost immediately as well. Now if he sneaks a piece of wheat bread or a cookie, the problems come back for a day or two afterward - though nowhere near as severe as when he was little.

That's not to say that this is what is going on with your daughter. But it's worth looking into.

Wow thats great! it would be great if jenny was passing stools normally without blood and pain. It started for her when we switched to cows milk!

The kids are nasty around my estate and it would break my heart if they kept calling and teasing her... How would you cope with that? I feel it would send me in a rage! I cannot look out my front window as it is because those kids wind me up anyways!
thanks.

Bingo. Actually, our son is on a "GF-CF" diet. The "CF" is "Casein-free" which is the major protein in cow's milk. He get's goat/sheep based dairy (which contains relatively little casein) and almond milk instead.

I think this article is sugesting that autism is a result of celiac disease thats why when you treat the celiac, autism goes away... I thought autism was abnormalitys in the brain?
http://ezinearticles.com/?The-Link-Between-Autism-and-Celiac-Disease&id=4546962

thers other articles that say autism isnot directly related to autism but kids with autism are at a higher risk of getting the disease! Confusing stuff!
I can see the special diet being a problem. My daughter is a very picky eater and she wont eat fruit or veg, Im not sure if its the colours she doesnt like or the textures, Maybe a mixture!
she seams to like food thats bad for her like ceriels and bread etc

My husband is autistic and to me he is the same as everyone else and I also believe that everyone is different and that normal does not exsit. He is a great man and is super smart. His imagination wonders me and he is very understanding. Since most his life he has not been around to many people he has trobule comunicating. But with me he is fine and with just a little bost he can have a whole conversation with anyone about anything. He is just like everyone else just needs an extra bost somtimes. Also his autisum gives him other problems like somtimes when he reads the words in his mind move on their own and turn upside down and all but he has learned to live with it. Your daughter should be fine with just a little bost and encouragment. :)

I have mild autism. I'm not mentally ill or hear voices in my head. In fact I'm pretty normal on the outside to most people. But having mild autism can make things a bit more difficult. I look normal on the outside but on the inside it is something hard to explain to your neurotypical counterparts who see me run off or have a meltdown or find things challenging that most "NTs" take for granted. I have sensativity to lights and sounds. It is a nightmare just to walk up to the store and get groceries much less in an area where there is no side walks. I guess I'd say I'm a little stuck in my own world and it takes outside sources to help me get out of my box. My communications skills are very poor and I've had many problems in work environments because of it. I sound retarded and I can't grasp the peer social chat like most people. In hindsight it is a triad of factors. For me it is frustrating just to try and explain it to someone because it is many things... light, textures, sounds, social quirks, behavorial issues (which I think are due to some of these factors). However autism is also has a wide range. I can't drive due to poor coordination skills and various distractions that get in the way. I know there are other autistics who do drive and don't experience every little setback as myself. This is the best I can explain.

I beleive that autistic people are wired up differently in the communication dept, thats why they find it hard communicating like "normal people" He should realise this gift! He will be communicating on a much higher level that the norm!
In my experience. If this is the case he should have traces of dmt in his urine! this is the higher communication chemical naturally produced in the brain. :)

Hi, I have psychosis (some autistic people develop psychosis) It is not a mental illness! (not understanding experiences could drive one mad ;)
But a difference in the way we are wired in the communication dept! It is a broad spectrum condition as you know (autism) I have very good coordination skills and drive but I cant walk over a cracked pavement and find it hard to look at people when I talk to them. I can spend a long time in a world of my own. I feel peoples moods rather than read there expressions. I communicate on a higher level than the norm. I find it hard to go outside, I cant relate to most people and I find it difficul to like people as I see there true nature! Most people are selfish parasites in my world! I do see and hear things and project ghosts etc. People that have experienced this are afraid of me. I look normal, I have a wife 3 kids and 1 on the way. I keep my secret to myself (not including internet lol) they see me as a nice quiet lad.

So does anyone with autism or living with an autistic/psycotic person experience paranormal activety?

i have similar symptoms. i wont look people in the face for long and i dont like most people cause i see the real them. i dont see things or hear things. but i dont consider myself psychotic for having a social disorder (i've never been diagnosed but thats my guess). my mom thought i was autistic when i was young cause i was so quite and shy and took my sweet time doing everything. my sister didnt walk till she was 2 i think. we both turn out fine except for our battles with drug abuse

I have heard interesting things about the Son-Rise treatment for autism. It works well in some people apparently. You are an interesting case, and may in fact have intuited parts of the system yourself. A good friend of mine is an autism treatment specialist and uses some of the methodology as part of her practice, but it isn't yet backed by research just years of anecdotal evidence. From what you say about your other children not developing as quickly and then doing well I'd say she may be a good candidate.

If it's not scientifically tested, it's not to be trusted. I don't understand why that's so hard for people to accept.

Quite frankly, speaking as a person with Asperger's, I don't see why anyone would want their child to be normal.

Ok, I work as a Supportive Home Living staff. This means I work with people of all age ranges with special needs. Many of these clients have Autism.
My first question is WHY IS THIS IN THE PARANORMAL SECTION OF THE FORUM!?
As for seeing ghosts or whatever, many perfectly "normal" children experience this same thing.
As stated in my introduction, my father was a Satanist and Occultist. I know much about "Vampyrism" as it's termed, and still don't see the correlation to Autism to be honest. I really don't see why this is in the Paranormal Forum at all. I'm actually surprised that it hasn't been moved yet, but have a feeling that it might be. That's up to the staff however, just making my prediction on the subject.

Now on to the rest of the discussion.
I've found that these people are no different from you or me, save for the way their brain is wired. Yes, communication is the biggest issue. But that's what people like me are for. We work with people to teach life skills that many of us take for granted (Such as washing hands or folding clothes.) and communication skills. Most people really don't understand these conditions which leads to various misconceptions.
Many times, people that are lower functioning are also misunderstood. Their outbursts of frustration is attributed to the fact that they have special needs only. When in my experience it usually stems from communication issues. If you had trouble communicating what you want or need you'd be upset too.

Be patient and learn all you can about it. I can understand where you're coming from spiritually (At least I'm pretty sure) But also look at it scientifically.
