Your most prized possession

My family.

I just went about life doing things the way I thought they should be done and surprise, your kids are grown and off going about their own life having their own kids. Maybe I could have done things better but I did well enough considering all of the potential pitfalls one can face in life.
I thought of family too, but, other people are not possessions.

You should make copies. Imagine if something happens to them and all you had was the originals.
How would I make copies? There's no way I'm typing all that!

Do you have a most prized possession?

Mine is a $250 female Goliath birdeater. I've never had a female before and they get quite a bit bigger than the males and cost more. They also live longer, 25 years in captivity.

It is the largest species (and gender) of all spiders. I'm going to save up for a mature male to breed them.

They have 200 or more babies. I only want ten unless I find out how to sell them.

Silly as it sounds, my spiders might be the greatest reason I don't want to use drugs anymore.

Drug abuse got my last collection taken.
My house. I never want to move house again.

I've been thinking of one possession (to be) more than others lately.
It should arrive in early 2019.

A physical possession of this world. I'm thinking. OMG! Troll says, "my clothes". Haha. My house? I could do with a small one. The view? I might go blind, then, what? The cat? Absolutely not! I am going to tell you why. I could not sleep last night and then the little ******* woke me up crying for goodness sakes at five. Five is OK, but not if I didn't sleep. I do not know why I couldn't sleep. A car! My prized possession is free transportation, but it isn't really free-free.

I have many. Picking one would be impossible, but everything I've ever written is high on the list. I can back up digital documents, but I have 18 diaries and countless handwritten stories, poems and other stuff that cannot be backed up.
sure they can...there are things called 'scanners' and 'cameras' that can make images...might be worthwhile, at least for some of your things...

and to print out some of your digital files...just sayin'...

It would take forever. I am far too busy and lazy to do that for 18 diaries and countless stories.

well, you've got options...if you only do a few at a time, you'd be surprised...back when I still could write poetry, etc., I did back up most everything I still had at that time, which included handwritten originals, developmental drafts, and "final" versions on the computer...

But, you, young lady, have forever. According to us old folks (that is if you are what you have shown us to be) you have a long time and whenever you look back at this if you look back, you will say, she was right (in a way) that did seem like forever!

But, have you considered Armageddon?
