Do you think all the Isaiah prophecies are about Israel? Why?
All the way thru the entire book of Isaiah he calls Israel the servant of God. It very clear.

I don't think much of what is quoted in the Bible has any credence. All the way thru the entire book of Isaiah he calls Israel the servant of God. It very clear.
It's about both, plus other things. May the Lord open your eyes some day.

Again you see something that was not said.
Men in a true sense of the word, the intent I used, means mankind, both sexes and all races.

I did too, and the teachings of Paul and Jesus were aligned on the important issues, including the deity of Jesus.
Deity of Jesus
- Jesus
- "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am," (John 8:58). Compare with Exodus 3:14, "And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM"; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, "I AM has sent me to you."
- Paul
- "For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form," (Col. 2:9). See also, Phil. 2:5-8.
Did Jesus and Paul teach the same thing? | CARM.org
I told you that the 'Jesus is God' spin is 'Pauline and Johannan spin'.......... and what did you quote in reply? ....... Pauline and Johannan spin .
If you believe it, then you believe it, but having studied the Jesus story I am quite sure that it is all ...... spin.
So its not my imagination.. Seems to me that it becomes political very early on..
From the beginning of the Baptist's mission it was political.
And neither he nor Jesus 'taught' folks, they made speeches to them.
I always grin when I read about how Jesus 'taught' the crowds, and I try to apply that term to modern day politicians, as in 'President Trump was on television today, teaching the people'. ..... etc.
Both the Baptist and Jesus were objectors, demonstrators, agitators, and for a very good cause; they wanted an honest priesthood, the old laws kept, the end of Temple corruption.
It says so...... !
Funny that most people take it for granted .. assuming Jesus said he was God.
Humans see what they want to see..........
Many of us grew up, being fed this stuff with our porridge each morning. After a while it just stuck in our heads, until we bothered to research for ourselves.
And when I was old enough to research it for myself, instead of being force fed the Biblical garbage as a child, I lost my faith.Humans see what they want to see..........

The idea of god and Jesus spoilt my childhood, I wish my parents had been unbelievers.I'm sorry.. although I think that happens a lot.
Not a relevant answer.
