That's the second time this thread has made me think of Groucho Marx.I went to the psychiatrist, and he says "You're crazy " I tell him I want a second opinion. He says, Okay, you're ugly too!"

Actually, I do not think of myself as at all 'grumpy', but I can certainly see why you and others might. All of us know you can be grumpy and insulting, surely you must acknowledge that trait about yourself.
It might be something to do with the grumpyness.Actually, I do not think of myself as at all 'grumpy', but I can certainly see why you and others might.

Jay is actually my daddy.
:areyoucra Obviously you missed the motive for this thread.Who isn't like this?! It's unfair that Jay is singled out for this...
I love you, sweetheart.
I think this is one of the reasons Jay's frubals are so coveted and treasured. We know he's very intelligent and well read. But, along with that he has extremely high standards for excellence regarding information sharing...and the knowledge to hold you accountable if your comments do not come up to par with truth or common sense. So, to be fruballed or complimented by Jay is really worth something. It's almost like being praised by the toughest professor at college, it boosts your self esteem.Jay reminds me of a drill sargeant. I once had a boss like that. They can tear you to shreds----if you let them. And they rarely give compliments. Which is not a bad thing, because when they do, you know they really mean it.
Buttercup said:Now, as far as my 'grumpy' comments not being accurate concerning Jay....you people need to look that word up in a dictionary/thesaurus. And if you don't see a picture of Jay right next to the definition or words that are synonymous with grumpy, you can pelt me with a mass of tomatoes.
What are you talking about? I had absolutely no problem finding a picture of Jay right next to grumpy in my dictionary..........Oooh, my dictionary is completely devoid of pictures! I love these odds! *reaches for tomatoes*
I don't even know you and I anticipated this type of response. To be honest, I find the thread a bit embarrassing and disconcerting, and I'm honestly not at all sure where to go with it. What saddens me most are the comments by some who I truly appreciate yet who nevertheless feel slighted. For that I sincerely apologize.
Nor do I ...I don't have any idea why anyone would characterize you like this...
It's extremely arrogant for you to imply my motives or anyone else's are untruthful. This is an honest thread....and Jay seems to be handling it fine. You can stay out if you like. Thanks for your great input.I do understand how this thread would be embarrassing to him, as it certainly would be to me. And it seems to me that the above speculations are thinly veiled insults. If one is seeking frubals from a person who values intelligence and integrity above all else, this doesn't seem like the way to go about it.
