The ONLY religious question!

Yes. You're a socialist. Not enough to give a gift, you gotta make the victim dependent, in perpetuity.
No. Such knowledge is not for you. You wouldn't know what to do with it.
You probably are nicer than God. Whatever nice is. God doesn't do nice. God does Real.

Sorry, had to post this, after having just had a rant in another thread...

To everyone who has a religious belief that the hold to be "the Truth," or "the only way to salvation," I want to ask this one simple question:

What the hell do you think you know that everybody else doesn't? How can you be so blindly stupid as to imagine for yourself a God that could make his truth known to you -- but was utterly powerless to make it known to everybody else?
Luke 10:21.
You tell me.

"God gives life, not evening classes." So, all-powerful god gives life -- then wherefor death? Don't you mean, "God lends life?"

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power ofdeath, that is, the devil;

I am ceaselessly amazed at how many people actually think they know enough about God's mind that they could tell who he would speak to. Was it not, after all, Christ (aka God) who Luke (5:31-32) claims said: "they that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

That seems to contradict you right there, in my opinion.

We are all entitled to our own opinions. I respect yours, but it doesn't make you right as mine dont make me right. It seems odd that we humans are always trying to prove to others why we are right and their wrong.

There is no "truth" that is constant or absolute. Though for many, truth is usually just something they've decided to believe in.

The only truth for me is now. Each moment of existence. Since now is constantly changing, the truth is constantly changing. Truth is not something you can point to and say here is truth. The truth is experienced in each moment of existence. Therefore my truth is going to be different than your truth since my experience differs from yours.

sorry, glitch in the electronics.....it keeps kicking me out then says "loading..." and never seems to reach that point. So this is a dry run, to see if this post will show up.
Hello Nakosis,
I hope this finds you well today.
Perhaps there are many ways to interpret what a person perceives as 'truth', and many reasons that they choose to believe or disbelieve what someone else accepts as their 'truth'.
again, each person or individual, must search and find and decide for themselves what they will accept as truth. Some people hate chocolate. imagine that! people are not robots, and many factors come into play as to why and how they make their own decisions or choices.
Perhaps we might narrow it down to "Bible truths" for the sake of this conversation. Where would we go to determine for ourselves what is 'truth' as it pertains to Biblical history, we might need to read it with a desire to find something in there that could even agree with ancient (or recent) human history, would you agree? How about learning about the prophecies given in the Bible. Can we find evidence of fulfillments of many of those prophecies that may have been uncovered hundreds of years after they were written down in the Bible? Could we go to some museums and find this information? I think we could. As well as historical artifacts that prove up the fulfillment of some prophecies. So, would something like that be worth delving into, if one is truly searching for what the Bible tells us 'truth' is?
John 17:17 is very clear to me.
So now we have a starting place, in our search for Bible truths, don't we?
Mind you, I am not speaking of human traditions that have been passed down for many years as if they have a Bible base. Most of those traditions of men are simply that. As well, they most ofter go in direct opposition to Bible truths , but if you have been taught them from infancy, and society promotes them, well then, 'they must be true', right?
So much propaganda has been spread about by false teachers seeking their own prominance it is no wonder that so many people today have no respect for Bible Truths, nor do they know what that means.
Look around you, if you will, and see what a mismash of weird and God dishonoring traditions divide people every day and show by their 'fruits' that they are far from following the 'God of Truth'.
step one: take out a modern day translation of the Holy Scriptures, and familiarize yourself with it. Find those who are qualified to teach, and have set an example in the community for their adherence to Biblical principles in their lives, who stand out as 'different', perhaps, that are clean people, who remain 'no part of the world' of politics, and welcome people of all races, nationalities, tribes and language groups, who make a universal family who agree in what they have discerned to be 'Bible truths' and are applying them as best they can, in their daily lives. They will welcome you, too, and assist you in finding the answers you are looking for in your own Bible, with no obligation, if only you request it. no obligation. It is a volunteer work done in 240 lands around the globe, in prisons, and any place they can reach, to help people find hope in their lives, and learn what the Creator has to say to all who will listen, what He has in store for those who put faith in the Bible promises soon to come to pass right here on our earth.
Happy searching
take care

Hi Terry
It is true that this society promotes "me first" ad nauseum. And where has it brought us? The most disconnected, violent, dangerous society that could every exist not only in one nations, but globally. Do you think that be each one clamoring to be the Master, what we have evolved into is 'all Chiefs and no indians" as the old (yes, my day it was pc to say that ,, ((and I have close blood ties with the Indians of Florida ...so I am not trying to say that in any derogatory fashion)) .ha)
The facts show that the vast majority in politics and religious leaders today will say and do most anything to make themselves a 'Leader' and be the Master over others they deem not as smart or important as they are...so where have such selfish ideologies led people up to this point?

Don't you think it is time for a change in what the devious leaders have led us to? surely, this cannot be what God had intended for the earth when He created it. What do you think?
How could people lead by humbling themselves, and putting forth effort to help others, and in a sense, become a 'slave', or a 'fellow worker' with out Lord. Sure, they murdered our Lord. So why should we think that today's society in general would treat people attempting to live a moral , honest life of being of assistance to all whom we can who are humble and 'sighing and groaning' about the detestabe conditions surrounding them?
Humility vs ego might be a good place to start. Someone who does not attempt to climb the corporate ladder, but prefers to keep a happy family life and teach their children principles and to be obedient to the laws of the land, and morally clean, might be laughed at or even dispised by those in high places. But obviously, fulfillment and happiness comes with being considered by some to be 'slaves' (or obedient to the commands of) our Lord.
Just some food for thought. Not a popular stance with the masses, for sure. But "the one who dies with the most toys" doesn't really win. The one who puts faith in the shed blood of our Lord, and His Father who sent him, have a hope of being resurrected to life again when all of the 'bad characters' are wiped off the earth, and it is restored to the paradise that God intended when He created it. Proverbs 2:22-23, and Psalms 37:9-10, & 37 are good for starters on the road to that eventuality.
Wishing you the best,
take care

It's a common conceit that
We are all entitled to our own opinions. I respect yours, but it doesn't make you right as mine dont make me right. It seems odd that we humans are always trying to prove to others why we are right and their wrong.
As I see Evangelicalhumanist's rely to your, "Because God only speaks to those who can hear...or should I say want to hear." it addresses the too often habit of Christians taking it upon themselves to decide what god is, does, feels, likes, dislikes, expects, will do, won't do, etc. etc. without scriptural evidence. They construct the god they need and run with it. Preachers are particularly fond of the practice; proclaiming this, that, and the other thing about god simply because it sounds good and resonates with their congregants. And sometimes it takes on a life of its own, repeated down through the years and taken as fact. No one questions it because it suits their needs to believe it's true.

I'm not saying that you don't have scriptural evidence that god only speaks to those who want to hear, but I don't recall any any. So, if you do how about sharing.

"Babes?" But babies don't know anything about God. Oh... maybe you are calling yourself a baby? Or was this passage referring to the more contemporary definition of the word "babes", meaning God reveals himself mostly to "sexually attractive women?" You never know with the updated, multiple-translation versions of The Bible around these days...

On one side, you are right, there are those who mistakenly think that they are on the right path and all the others are just "going astray" garbage people..

But on the other hand, it's the nature of science and knowledge that for any question there is one "right answer" and the remaining are just wrong ones..

If you’re intentionally being funny, lol.

But if you’re being sarcastic....the Scripture proves it’s value, doesn’t it?

But you’re not alone.....all those who don’t worship the Father solely (John 4:23-24; John 17:3) , and think it’s ok to fight against their brothers in a conflict (1 John 3:10-15), ain’t got it either.
