Pretty. :D

You're downloading stuff with Ares too? LOL...my husband recently got Ares and is downloading old episodes of "Knight Rider." Him and his dad are watching now. Hee hee hee....he told me that when he was little he used to pretend he was driving Kitt. :p

My roommate actually put that background up. We both like the Buddha, though I don't like this picture as much as she does.

Yeah, Ares is great!

Here's the background on my work computer. I work at a Coldwell Banker as a Marketing Specialist. Yes, this job is as bad as it sounds and yes, Realtors are lazy.

How do you guys stand having icons on your desktop? Once I found alternatives to desktop icons I never looked back. I can not stand the clutter they make.

As you can see, I don't like having stuff on my desktop :). Also I don't like taskbars.

I was thinking of making one of these threads a couple of days ago :).

I miss running linux. I used to run Debian on my old desktop but when I gave it to my wife she insisted on Windows. I'm typing this from an old laptop running Windows 2000. I want to put Linux on it but I want to make sure that the distro will have wireless drivers built in and work. When I installed Debian on my desktop it was a nightmare to configure but ran rock solid once everything was set. Never got a virus or spyware or poppups but there was alot I couldn't do either like have the latest version of Flash player or run Microsoft Office or use MSN messenger or have some new device just work when I plug it in and pop in a disk. I tried a variety of different desktops and KDE was my favorite.

Try the new Ubuntu. I have it on my laptop and its easy to get configured. They also now have a restricted drivers utility so you no longer have to go diving through support forums to figure out how to get a driver you need to work. This made things much easier with my laptops wireless card.

Okay, here's a go at mine. Pretty plain really.

I don't know why there's a white bar around it. I can't resize it worth crap. It's too large for me to attach. and photobucket ends up with this white half frame thing going on and has it so small you can barely make much out.

This is mine. Cardero changed it one day but I can't put that one up. It's not Rated G . I told him NEVER EVER to change my laptop screen saver.

Yes you do. ;) However, since I have 10 characters, only one of which is not lvl 20, and I have beaten the games more than once, I have found myself a little bored with it. Playing WOW mainly now. That is, until GW2 comes out. ;)

WOW *shudders*, I could never bring my self to play a "pay to play" game. But even if WOW were free I still couldn't play it, the graphics are too anime ish and I have met too many people who have flunked out of school and classes from playing that game. Right now I have stopped with GW for a bit (I can't wait for GW2) and have picked up DII again.

I had that opinion of WOW as well for a long time. But after I realized that the only way I was going to play a game with my bf was by playing WOW with him then I changed my mind. Yes, it's true, the graphics aren't nearly as good as GW, and you do have to pay for it, but...you have so much more freedom with what you can do on that game than GW allows. SO MUCH MORE. Which is why I'm looking forward to GW2 since they are suppose to incorporate a lot of the features that makes WOW so alluring. So you get the best of both worlds. A great looking, great graphics, game you don't have to pay a subscription to play, and all the freedom and open abilities that make WOW so addicting.
