Qu'ran 3:106 says:
"On the Day [some] faces will turn white and [some] faces will turn black. As for those whose faces turn black, [to them it will be said], "Did you disbelieve after your belief? Then taste the punishment for what you used to reject."
Let me explain the following verse to the best of my knowledge
"On the Day [some] faces will turn white and [some] faces will turn black. As for those whose faces turn black, [to them it will be said], "Did you disbelieve after your belief? Then taste the punishment for what you used to reject."
Next time ask a Muslim regarding this verse instead of making an ignorant thread. This is quite offensive to me but then again I'm used to getting warnings while others can be insulting to my heritage but I digress.
Regarding this verse this is referring to the Islamic eschatology of judgment day. The interpretation behind this verse regarding those whose faces are "white" is an analogy regarding those who are favored by God, and usually those who are favored by God are illuminating in his light. The white face are blissful, jovial, and are a reflection of divine light and of hope. The whiteness is the purity of faith and being favored in God's grace. The black faces are a reflection of disfavor and displeasure of God. They are a reflection of the punishment of the hereafter. The blackened faces are analogous to (in my understanding) the fire that awaits them. To be burned, to be impure, to appear as smoke or to reflect the distance of the disbeliever from divine light to be in despair.
Another Quranic interpretation which corroborates the aforementioned states:
"On the Day [of Judgment] when some faces are bright [with hope] while others are dark [with despair]. Those whose faces are darkened will be asked "Have you denied God's Truth after believing? Then experience the punishment for your unbelief."
If the Pope or Donald Trump taught something like that, everyone would accuse them of an extremely offensive and blatantly obvious "racial slur", and rightfully so, but when it comes from Muhammad (peace be upon him), no one seems to care.
It is exalting the favored righteous as having "white faces" and speaking of wicked, condemned, unbelievers as having "black faces".
How could someone not see the problem with this picture?
There seems to be an intellectual disconnect with you, the Qur'an and reality that much is clear. In ancient text a lot of times white and black were representations of darkness and light. For example a white dove is a symbol of divinity, purity and of the Holy Spirit, while a Raven is a representation of evil, wickedness and of demonic origin.
I love Muhammad (peace be upon him) and hope he is in heaven.
No you don't love Muhammad. Just the other thread you referred to him as a pedophile and in the same breathe you can also say (peace be upon him) while at the same time insult a religious figure. Your confusion and lack of understanding is beyond insulting and I do not understand why the likes of @Kelly of the Phoenix and @stvdv keeps defending you. It's almost like you post on impulse without having any forethought to what you're writing about. This is exactly why I made that thread https://www.religiousforums.com/thr...ics-of-discussion-forums.210270/#post-5685091 for this very reason. Comments like this tells me you're not interested in learning but rather you impulsively make comments that come to your head. There is a reason why there are hardly any Muslims that participate here is because individuals like you make these comments. There is no hospitality here for Muslims and I'm surprised the people of the Baha'i faith are hanging on here.
