Cannabis is neither as addictive nor as deadly as either tobacco or alcohol.Yet they promote cannabis smoking.

But why isn't alcohol forbidden?Cannabis is neither as addictive nor as deadly as either tobacco or alcohol.
And in some countries they defecate in the streets. But why isn't alcohol forbidden?
I mean... did you know that in my country there is total anarchy as for alcohol?
Nobody asks you the ID to have your age proved.
It's sufficient that a 12 year old tells the supermarket cashier: this vodka is for my dad.
Is alcoholism that bad? I believe it has decreased in the UK over the last decades or so (probably replaced by drug use), and neither the UK or Italy seem to feature in any top tens (but Russia?), and look at where Italy is in any of these tables:But why isn't alcohol forbidden?

Ever hear of George Burns? A tobbaco smoker with a vengeance.Cannabis is neither as addictive nor as deadly as either tobacco or alcohol.
Smoking isn't premeditated murder.Okay, that is your opinion, I respect that
IMO, your comparison is far from spot on
I am sure a US judge won't equate (like you do):
a) Serial rapist/murderer
with
b) Death by car accident
or
a) Premeditated murder
with
b) Death by car accident
What about him?Ever hear of George Burns? A tobbaco smoker with a vengeance.
Maybe he didn't inhale.
Not accidentalSmoking isn't premeditated murder.
I think education and warnings should be sufficient as to the health risks. I'm all for that.@Twilight Hue For the record I don't support an outright ban on either tobacco ot alcohol, but should be regulated due to health and safety risks.
So smokers are serial rapist murderers??Okay, that is your opinion, I respect that

Pretty sure alcohol prohibition failed spectacularly in the West. But why isn't alcohol forbidden?

In Europe there is an incredibly strong stigma towards smoking.Pretty sure alcohol prohibition failed spectacularly in the West.
So many countries settled for a legal age limit instead lol
I remember when I worked the smokes counter. It was always interesting to see the lines in the sand people seemed to have. Like our smokes have explicit pictures of various health diseases caused by tobacco on them. And I would always get someone who would refuse certain packets simply because they were freaked out by specific pictures
It’s pretty much the same here. I think largely because of the European influence. In Europe there is an incredibly strong stigma towards smoking.
And I am speaking of tobacco. Imagine if we think of illegal stuff to smoke.
But as for alcohol...I mean...no. Nowhere...Germany, Italy, Scandinavia, France...
teenagers drinking as if it were water.
Because there is this conviction that alcohol isn't bad...at all.
Bier in Germany...is it safe? Yes, at any age.
Or in Italy I have seen fathers giving glasses of red wine to their kids.
And sparkling wine on Christmas and New Year's Eve.
That was not your initial claim to my replySmoking isn't premeditated murder.

At least in my little bubble
I grew up on wine, brandy and the occasional liqueur.
No one really seemed to care. Though this was in private, under parental/adult supervision. They’ve gotten pretty strict with public drinking, truth be told.
The smell of smoke sticks on clothes and one needs to wash them frequently.I'd rather be around a smoker than a drunk!!
They are often the same though.I'd rather be around a smoker than a drunk!!
