Lady Gaga does it again with over-the-top "Telephone" video

Oh! theres plenty smut on pop shows veiwed by youngsters! full of woman with not much on getting plenty money shots in there and they dont give a damb about how youngsters are effected. My 8yr old boy cant take his eyes off gaga and I think would she be notivced if she was well wrapped up? Personally her and the likes of her would be more suited to porn, not pop shows! JMO
Do yous mind your young children watching this crap? Maybe I dont belong to these times eh!
I don't have kids, but when I was a child in the 80's I managed to avoid anything like this due to my parents' rules, and the 80's had it's fair share of controversial figures and violent films.
I can see that society has lowered the threshold on what it finds acceptable over the past 20 years, but is it really that much harder for parents today to shield their kids from inappropriate sights than it was back then?

Not at all. It's easy enough to put a block on Fox News.

I wouldn't put on "Telephone" in front of my younger kids,
but
I really don't shield my kids from sexuality in general.

Sexually provacative dancing
with skin and "moves" I'm not worried about.
Story line content that their psyche can't "handle"
due to lack of maturity, is another thing.

Probably most parents would not approve
of what I approve of.

What about it might she go to jail over?

Just a guess mind.... Flashing in public! She desurves to get locked up! If men were to walk along the street and get there dangley bits out that would be someone that was depraved or some kind of sex preditor or something? What she done is no different IMO!

Kids love lady gaga, I wouldn't let a small child watch the uncensored version of the video, but I don't see any harm in the ''clean'' version.

The thing is where you see smut , you're 8 year old most likely sees an interesting visual and hears a catchy song, not much different to ''The Wiggles''

Lol, is that what you beleive! My Boys seem to know when the crotch shots are coming and they home straight in on them! my youngest son is three and he cant say much but he can say gaga all right. The 8yr old watches the crotch shots with his mouth wide open and theres no getting through to him or distracting him/them! I dont get up and turn the tv over but bite the bullet. But at times I could just through a bucket of water over the pair of them.
your right about the interesting visuals alright... very interested in them, but you underestimate kids... there more clued up than I would like on these matters.
whats the world coming to. Give me Lilly Allen anyday. she doesnt need to take off her cloths to get famous.

Ah, I couldn't be bothered to watch the video, just too darn lazy.

I don't think people should get locked up for a one off flashing, get a warning maybe.

Maybe it's because we are all born sexual/biological creatures?

I don't know why people make such a big deal about it.

There is nothing intrinsically "inappropriate" about it.
It's stupid though to risk losing friends
over parents who are more reserved.
Just be respectful of other people's sensabilities
I tell them. Don't offend people.
Some stuff you keep at home/to yourself
unless you KNOW that your friend's parents
are on the same page.

I'd rather my kids watch Gaga then the Wiggles.

Honestly.

LOL

We went to a Wiggles concert back when the younger two were preschool age.

I honestly had more fun than I anticipated, and Tyler got a hug from Murray. :D

But I know what you're talking about. Gaga indeed does own her sexuality, and she sends a powerful message to girls by doing so.

My daughter is a big fan of Gaga, btw, and that's cool. And fwiw, when she got her first radio as a gift, she asked me how to find the local jazz station to set it.

She hasn't seen this video, though, because she mentioned that she doesn't care to see the violence (I told her what the content was).

What age was she when she got her radio?

Nine.

Before she listened to it though, she was a big fan of My Chemical Romance, so that's what I anticipated. She can't stand the Jonas Brothers or Miley Cyrus, so she cares less about what her friends like.

But she wasn't shy to admit how she liked David Archuleta when it REALLY isn't popular at all to do so.

I figure she has her own tastes, and I applaud that. ;)

Thanks for the pics... a real treat ;)
I just meant thhat its not for pop shows watched by a younger audience!
Children are very influential arnt they! But I am an old fuddy duddy that cant get my head around it... everyone want smut... it sells, but I supose my problem if I am honest is the embarresment and I dont like my kids to watch all this nakedness... what can I say! I wouldnt want my daughter parading around in her knicjkers behaving like that lot etc... oh never mind.

My sisters little girl has a dvd player and radio, she's 4. She has her own musical interests too. She and her brother have a Michael Jackson thing going on at the moment. When you see his dance moves thrust at you by a 4 and 5 year old, you begin to notice how adult themed they actually are.

I do think the adult content goes over their heads and we are so tainted with cynicism, we see things that aren't there. At least half the nursery rhymes and fairy tales have very unsavory overtones, but we are used to them.
