Originally told by the Buddha of a Zen Master who, while out walking one day, is confronted by a ferocious, man-eating tiger. The stock market was nearly triple from what it was when Obama took office. The real estate market was growing again. Unemployment was shrinking. Illegal workers were going away.

Do you really not understand that employers giving jobs to illegal workers dropped under Obama? It skyrocketed under Bush, then dropped slightly under Obama. Those are the facts. You are certainly entitled to your own opinions, but you are not entitled to your own facts.

"Heavily surveil mosques in the United States. Trump has said he's open to the idea of closing some mosques." Isn't that against The First Amendment? How about we just keep a good eye on people who express terrorist beliefs? What about the non-Islamic terrorists out there?
"Bring back waterboarding, which the Obama administration considers torture. Trump has said he's willing to use interrogation techniques that go even further than waterboarding. Even if such tactics don't work, "they deserve it anyway, for what they're doing." If these people are Americans this violates The Eighth Amendment, and I'm sure there is something about this in The Universal Human Rights Declaration.
"Rebuild the country's aging infrastructure -- especially bridges and airports that look like they belong in a third-world country -- for one-third of what the United States is currently paying for such projects." Thumbs up! But of course I'm a liberal who thinks FDR was our greatest President, because of all he did to end the Great Depression and help Americas poor. He created public works projects that made our country better and put people back to work.
"Build a wall along the southern border that's taller than the arenas where Trump holds his rallies, taller than any ladder and one foot taller than the Great Wall of China. This "artistically beautiful" wall will be constructed out of hardened concrete, rebar and steel, and it will be "the greatest wall that you've ever seen" -- so great that the nation will likely one day name it "The Trump Wall." Thumbs up! How can we secure every America a decent standard of living when we are expected to provide for illegal immigrants? But of course I'm a liberal who believes in giving amnesty to non-criminal illegal immigrants now living here.
"Leave troops in Afghanistan because it's such "a mess." Protect Israel. And increase U.S. military presence in the East and South China Seas." Thumbs up! If that means promoting Democracy, I think everyone has the right to live in a Democratic country.
"Stop spending money on space exploration until the United States can fix its potholes. Encourage private space-exploration companies to expand." Thumbs up! We need to worry about our world first. Yes I am a liberal with environmentalist beliefs, but I'm more concerned with making sure everyone has access to healthcare and life necessities.
"Make medical marijuana widely available to patients, and allow states to decide if they want to fully legalize pot or not." Thumbs up! I feel the same way about gay marriage and abortion, it will make things less controversial if we let each state do what they want.
"Knock down the regulatory walls between states for health insurance, making plans available nationally instead of regionally." Are you for national healthcare? I am, but with the free market involved. Mitt Romney had a plan that worked well in his home state MA. That was having private companies that were subsidized by the state government to basically insure the poor and letting people pay more for more insurance if they decided to buy more.
I do hope Trump backs faith and community based initiatives, because as a Secular Humanist I believe in charity and that nothing will ever be more beautiful than what is done altruistically (out of the good heart).
From what I see Secular Humanism defends democratic ideals. Secular Humanism asks the question, "how can we make life better for people without depending on god?" There are different ideas on how to improve life for humanity, communism is one of them. But capitalism ends up creating more technology, more innovations, more knew ideas that improve the quality of life than does a state controlled economy. It makes sense that people will want to work hard and come up with better technology etc. if they are going to be rewarded for their achievements, that's a facet of capitalism, people get to make money for their accomplishments. BTW socialism is different than communism, democratic socialism means the government creating programs to help the disadvantaged and making society democratic on more than just a political level i.e. giving everyone the right to a decent standard of living, not letting the people at the top collect all the poker chips.
Did you notice the fingers? Count the fingers on Homer's hand, or any other Simpson's character. Now count the fingers on "God's" hand.
Make of that what you will.

Who the hell are you talk about, exactly? So far I've only seen conservatives count Trump's chickens before they've hatched, and liberals certainly aren't in a hurry to see the policies that they've opposed be implemented.

My biggest problem with your statement is this notion that it is flexibility at work here. I see no evidence of this with Trump. What I see is a group of people who have no clue what they are doing, who cannot stay on task, who struggle to have a coherent message. That isn't flexibility, it's incompetence.
I only say that flexibility is a possible motive.
Incompetence is certainly another possibility.
But there is evidence of some competence in his administration.
The VA is finally seeing positive change.

The idea that politicians are either all good (my side) or all bad (the other side)
is one best avoided. Things are rarely so extreme, despite how they might feel.

The last episode of Modern Family i saw a couple of weeks ago strongly suggested that incompetence is completely acceptable and that diligence,competency and even accountability are UNdesirable. I became so angry i just walked out, then went into a three day rant about it.
When this is what people become, they stop living, stop evolving and start dying a slow miserable lingering death.
This is a little hard to find, but this clip actually shows the incident in which the subject of my rant started out with.

I still go off like a bomb when i see incompetence being accepted over diligence and accountability. We are a nation of laws for a reason. If we cannot be held accountable by our peers for our actions or negligence, the law can no longer stand and we are lost to savagery, pestilence, famine and mass die-off at the least. That up there i posted is the way DOWN, not up.
It threatens everything you remember and cherish and it could possibly be deliberate.
The world and our owners have no further need of our fallacies, follies, hopes and dreams, the world only needs workers with minimal needs and NO aspirations ideas of their own OR opinions.
ESPECIALLY NO opinions.
