How about the moon? That in itself is part of earth.
Lets start with genesis 1 on day 1 god created light but did not create the light source until day 4
In gen 1:11 god crated trees before man, in 2:4 man was created before trees
1:20 and 2:4 have the same confusion with birds
1:24 and 2:7 same with animalds
1:26 man and woman made at the same time
2:7 man made first.
Thank you for your reply, seems as if you have given much thought to the ^ above ^.
I find there are two (2) accounts about creation in Genesis.
I am Not sure what you mean by ' light source ' on Day 4.
You are right, on Day 1 God created the light, so the 'source of light' was created on Day 1.
I notice the word ' create ' is Not used at Genesis 1:16-19
So, God ' made ' the already existing created light to do something. 'Made' to reach the surface of the Earth.
Thus, the light was set in place to rule, 'made' to rule the day, 'made' to rule the night.
Sometimes we hear of a parent who 'made' a child do something like go to school.
The pro-created child was already in existence before the child was ' made' to go to school.
Thus, to me the difference in meaning is about 'creating the light' and 'making the light' do something.
At Genesis 2:4, I read that as an historical account summed up as the generations ......etc.
The 1st account of creation describes creation of Heaven and Earth and all in them as per Genesis 1:1 to 2:4.
So, Genesis 1:26-31 (the 1st creation account) is about mankind's purpose to enjoy endless life on Earth.
Genesis 2:7 (in the 2nd creation account) lets us know how God ' formed ' man from the created Earth.
So, Genesis 2:5 to 4-26 (2nd account) concentrates on the ' forming ' of the human race with its downfall.
Since it was still Day 6, Genesis 2:19 also informs us God ' further formed ' some more animal life for Adam to name.
So, just as Adam was ' formed ' from the already created Earth, so was animal life 'formed' or fashioned.
