Geeze, Louise......
Nah.Well, am I right, or am I right?
I do believe the Western world and world in general need more people like you as leaders.I don't see my country being useful in calming this
conflict. We support Israel financially & militarily,
yet we exercise very little influence. Biden is only
showing some concern because he'd otherwise
risk political losses.
We even stop the UN from exercising influence.
Something else....something worse will likely
force positive change there, eg, war expanding
to include Russia, Iran, & China. (Ameristan has
been chomping at the bit to attack Iran openly.)
If only Israel would stop taking land from Muslims,
& treat them fairly, they'd all be so much better off.
Empathy for the other tribe is key. They need it.
Nah.
I could go on, but....
As was I.I was just making an observation.
You seem to stray from themes under discussion. There must be a reason why we have such different views of the events of the world.

A disorganized mind perhaps?
Perhaps your views are just too sophisticated for me.I prefer to think of it as a higher-level organization which takes into consideration the bigger picture.
I view it as a political maneuver to get some final resolution to the conflict -- to get West Bank and Gaza to sign paper. Egypt signed a treaty in exchange for the Sinai peninsula. Land is something that makes treaties happen. The dispute is about land, so threatening to take more land over time applies pressure to sign. Whereas not taking land results only in more missiles lobbed over the borders, and its those lobbed projectiles which justify retaliation. I certainly wouldn't stand by if people were lobbing bombs at my neighborhood.I've long rejected the argument that Israel can take land from
Palestinians & Arabs because Muslims have so much land
elsewhere. God's Chosen People endured Nazis...it's a tired
& failed excuse to take land & brutalize all who resist theft.
This obsession with being victims reminds me of a song
from "My Crazy Ex Girlfriend". Always invoke Hitler....
The evangelicals are fickle friends in this, like when someone gushes with emotion momentarily and then forgets. The idea of Jesus returning in Israel keeps getting pushed forward in time, and the story keeps changing about when that is. There can be a time and soon when the US sends forces into Israel. They are not safe, and I have said before that Israelis should consider the evangelical interest to be dangerous and unhealthy. What seems like support today can turn into a controlling interest tomorrow.Israel isn't going to disappear, not with nuclear weapons
& the full force of fervent Christian & Jewish allies of
Israel running Ameristan.
No one here is saying that Israel should "stand by".I view it as a political maneuver to get some final resolution to the conflict -- to get West Bank and Gaza to sign paper. I won't worry about the political ramifications of JesusThe evangelicals are fickle friends in this, like when someone gushes with emotion momentarily and then forgets. Israel cannot cave to pressure to dissolve into a non Jewish state and cannot absorb the populations of Gaza and West Bank, but it can sign a treaty with them. It can sign a treaty of non aggression if they can control their missile problem. Until then it is standing by, and it will continue to annex land in small amounts until a peace treaty is signed. We can call them apartheid if we want to, call them responsible or whatever. It doesn't change that their existence is being challenged and has been since 67.No one here is saying that Israel should "stand by".
That's a false alternative.
What Israel should do is curb their practices that inspire
violence, eg, stealing land, apartheid, the mass killings.
Your interest is in getting the US out of the situation, and I agree with that interest. All I'm saying is that you're wrong to think USA will always be behind Israel. We will not.I won't worry about the political ramifications of Jesus
returning until he actually shows up, sandals & all.
